"Do you truly believe history has gone well? Man calls itself the pinnacle of evolution, yet women have always been the overarching catalyst of the success of the Eight Worlds. But we are divided, and it is irrevocably my job to make us as one."
―Emily Watson's agenda for "female unity"/power.[src]

Emily Olsen Watson is the charismatic and megalomaniacal head of the revolutionary Girl-Team, the founder of the acclaimed website Unity of Queens, the sister of Michael Watson, and the daughter of William Watson and the Thunder Queen, and a major antagonist in the D.I.T. Literary Universe. A child prodigy and activist allegedly bent on equality for all beings of the Eight Worlds, one who easily brought together numerous women of all ages with similar ideals and became known for challenging world leaders to take immediate action against gender inequality, Emily was manipulative and obsessed with fusing with an exotic mass of plasma particles known as "the Orb" to plunge the entire cosmos into darkness and end it to give it a rebirth and create an Age of Darkness and Suffering as she reigned supreme as a goddess. To this end, she had long deemed the male gender, particularly the underage population, as the greatest threat to a peaceful and morally sound society, and whilst building a Boy Trap to slander her male peers with the long-term goal of eradicating them, Emily vowed revenge against Steven Thompson, who had destroyed Elizabeth. She was a skilled strategist who initiated the Coup of Utah. For years, she had harbored deep mental instabilities, believing her father loved Michael more than her. She eventually came into league with the Orc Devil, unaware that she was an exclusive creation of the Black Queen, and throughout the war, Emily led the alliance, turning outside organizations to their cause through political maneuverings and military might.

With initial assistance from Helen McKeen and Denim Spikes, Emily Watson fragmented the Armies of Organa briefly, but was eventually abandoned and shunned by two of her closest allies when they discovered the true extremeness of her genocidal intentions. During the Battle of Tower Placement, she fought not only Thompson, but also Summer Petersen and Vincent Organa. Though she incapacitated Thompson and killed Organa, Watson underestimated Petersen's skill and was killed by the teenage girl. After Emily Watson’s death, the Girl-Team surrendered, leading to the end of the School War. The effects of the School War lasted long after her end, leading to years of repair that ended with the Battle at the Temple of the Relinquished as it sparked a new conflict, the Fall of the International Alliance, at which point her legacy had waned to a reasonable degree. Even though her attempt to destroy men and usher civilization into an era of tyranny was consequently thwarted, Watson succeeded in reuniting women and thus changing civilization forever.

Biography[]

Early life[]

File:Emily is a human shield.png

A two-year-old Emily being taken into battle with the Thunder Queen one final time.

Emily Olsen Watson was born to Elizabeth Bennett (the dreaded supervillain the Thunder Queen) and her husband William Watson on April 24, 2009.[1] When Emily was still a baby, she was carried by the Thunder Queen, into battle. However, on one such occasion riding with her mother when she was less than three years old, the latter perished unexpectedly by the hand of an infantile civilian named Steven Thompson, with the vulnerable toddler girl witnessing the whole thing, which would eventually lead her to vow revenge.[2] Along with her brother, Michael Watson, Emily was raised by her father, who was neglectful and even violent, in Thunder Quarters, which had been passed down from their ancestors for generations. She felt that her father loved Michael much more than her, creating a rift of jealousy between her and William and Michael. Confronted daily with her brother's close relationship with their father and Emily's comparatively distant one, Emily often attempted to gain William's attention in some way. However, these attempts usually resulted in family quarrels. Emily first became self-educated regarding the patriarchy in 2014, when she was less than five years old, and could not understand why so little was being done about it.[3]

Activist career[]

Becoming a celebrated figurehead[]

File:Young Emily.jpg

Even as a young child, Emily exhibited a devious and deceptive streak, as demonstrated when she manipulated her otherwise unhelpful father to get her way.

"I want to feel safe. How can I feel safe when I know we women are in an unprecedented situation?"
―Emily Watson[src]

At the educational facility she attended, Tower Placement School, she was a very feared student, mostly because the Thunder Queen was widely considered a supervillain as the catastrophic events of the Great Darkness could be tied directly back to her. Early in life, Emily somehow procured a rare L-9 baton for personal use. Having proved herself as an exceptionally literate and insightful little girl with remarkable leadership qualities, she tried to obtain a privilege with several students' competition when she was only in the second grade. However, Principal Zambaux saw her as mentally unstable despite her incredible potential, and the honor was instead given to a fifth-grader named Luke Norris. Enraged, and believing he was indulged instead solely because of his gender,[4] Watson eventually assaulted Norris with her baton, only for him to leave a permanent scratch on the grip handle, and the confrontation made Watson fear Norris, who in turn despised her.[3] She covered her tracks well and framed the attempted murder of Norris on her teenage peer Dean Dixon and her own father William Watson, getting him in huge trouble.[4] In the mix, she became very interested in the 2016 United States presidential election and intrigued by Hilary Clinton, who was slated as the first woman ever to become President. However, she eventually came to believe Clinton's ideals would only halt political and socioeconomical progress and gradually lost interest in what was going on, and Donald Trump secured the election either way.

When she was in fourth grade, Watson sneaked out of Thunder Quarters at night, running away from home, and eventually stopped to rest and eat. A girl named Helen McKeen happened to be having a picnic nearby. The two introduced themselves. When William caught her out, he furiously held her above the upstairs window by her ankle and deliberately dropped her off the railing — but miraculously, Emily flipped right-side-up in time, hit the ground, and skidded to a stop, barely dazed from the fall. Emily came to believe she was indestructible.[3]

Enraged that William hurt her yet again, she devised a plan to essentially shatter her father's reputation so he would stay home more often and give her attention. Her plan went very well, and because of this, William would often remain within Thunder Quarters where he could care for her. However, he still neglected her and he began lavishing Michael with gifts and child privileges that he often withheld from her deliberately, resulting in her developing an increasing hostility towards William and Michael. It was at this point that she began protesting openly about the modern gender situation as an intellectual and cultural unit, although William did not support the little girl's daring activism, which only fueled her already prevalent belief that she could never look away from the modern day's situation ever again. In October 2019, Emily created a website for women to share feminist ideas and encourage discussion on the topic and began giving public speeches for which she has become an internationally recognized gender role activist. The website was called Unity of Queens and she got the idea from the rapid changes after the horrible actions of a secret society dedicated to sustaining the influence of the NoHead Empire. Ironically, the COVID-19 Pandemic severely restricted any planned for travel and would-be meetings in 2020 and 2021 as social distancing, quarantines, and facial coverings all became entirely normalized, which Emily acknowledged on social media several times was most definitely for the better, as the coronavirus would not go away on its own and that they had the Internet, something other pandemics did not have its victims in possession of at all. Furthermore, she took this chance to delve into her studies and better understand white privilege and how it concerned her plans.

One New Yorkian feminism-focused social media company was Driven by the Clock (or DBTC), founded by Igor Morozov. He said her website only began attracting the attention of the masses after he turned up with a freelance photographer and posted Emily's photograph on his Facebook page and Instagram account, and a video in English that he posted on the company's YouTube channel. Morozov subsequently asked Emily to become an unpaid youth advisor to DBTC. He then used the ten-year-old girl's name and image without her knowledge or permission to raise millions for a DBTC for-profit subsidiary, of which Morozov was CEO. Emily received no money from the company and terminated her volunteer advisor role with DBTC once she realized they were making money from her name.[1]

New alliances[]

"This was very ill-conceived! Why did we do that so prematurely?"
"Maturity is just another means to our ends! Embrace the wild child within, Emily. We're two beautiful little supervillains!"
"No, we are not! Your showboating could bust our entire agenda single-handedly! Ugh, let’s move.
"
―Emily Watson and Santana Larson[src]

Eventually, Emily Watson discovered a supernatural green sphere of plasma particles, dubbing it as "the Orb" and coming to grasp increasingly obsessive thoughts of having its extraordinary power for herself. Her father William Watson informed her of the existence of the Orc Devil with the latter's permission and swore her to absolute secrecy. She eventually came into league with her, with William being mind-controlled to speak to Watson on the Orc Devil's behalf. Both of them agreed that threats to the star system would continue to come regardless of law enforcement. They also agreed that a number of other factors, such as the unmet desire for recycling and benevolent politicians, also needed to be tackled.

Together they began to devise a complex plan to protect the star system from all domestic and extraterrestrial threats coming within the future, with Watson coming to believe only she was fit to rule the Eight Worlds herself.[3] In preparation for what was to come, she went to a juvenile hall and approached a girl named Santana Larson, proposing an alliance with her disturbed yet extremely intelligent peer. To prepare to break him out, she had previously poisoned all of the food in the staff refrigerator and ensured she arrived just before lunch hour. Santana agreed to join forces with Emily and wanted to tell her of his secret and partially constructed superweapon, which she called the High Rider. As the majority of the staff members choked on the poison in their food and the remaining ones panicked and tried to comprehend the situation, Emily made use of the significant distraction she had caused and released Satana, telling her they will meet up later before faking a breakout to keep her cover. Though Emily relented to Santana's plans for the aforementioned superweapon, she and Satana always clashed over the intended style and tone of their agenda, as Emily adamantly did not consider herself a bad guy whereas Santana always embraced being one.

In July of 2019, Emily Watson and Santana Larson learned that NANA, a caretaker robot, and her three-year-old son Vincent Organa were currently in possession of a hard-drive featuring footage of Santana's past. Emily came with him on an expedition to uncover its whereabouts. Finally, Emily discovered the hard drive and handed it to Santana, who did not speak a single word. Having gained what the evidence he felt that he required, Santana and Emily stepped outside to complete his plans. He asked Emily to embrace her inner evildoer, in response to this Emily fiercely claimed that she was not a bad guy, showing her greatest personality flaw — complete denial of her own nature. With no further use for him, Santana prepared to execute Vincent, but Emily really did not want to murder an innocent toddler for no reason other than protecting her own identity and secrets, and so she fiercely warned against it.

Wishing to move on with his life, Santana beaconed Emily to come with him, citing she probably had never "felt this alive", but she was enraged that he almost got them killed. Santana tried to defend his strategy, but the stress from this experience caused Emily to lash out at Santana, expressing all of her frustrations at the various times the crimes of male human beings had severely endangered the Eight Worlds, specifically highlighting Osama bin Laden bringing forth 9/11, Mr. Stupid NoHead bringing forth the Great NoHead War and the Dark Order, Gavrilo Princip and Adolf Hitler both bringing forth world wars, and the current situation with the international economy. Emily quickly regained self-control and walked away, threatening to duel him to kill if he tried to follow her against her wishes. The two had consistently been in contact for the last thirteen months, but now they would see each other less often and continued to work together, but only as cunning and secretive partners in crime. Indeed, the two had started out on even footing, but it was becoming increasingly clear that Emily had outgrown him and become his superior, so he would typically end up following her lead.[2]

In the meantime, she met Natalia Thornton, who had similar goals to her own and became her close friend and benefactor. The burgeoning Cavaliers of Thornton firmly believed that egalitarianism was the natural structure of the universe, and that patriarchy of any kind should not exist. It was presumably during this period of Watson's life that she devised her philosophy that she would carry with her until her death, however Watson's plans differed significantly from the rest of the group, as she was far more obsessed with cosmic mysticism than the rest of the group and unlike the rest of the group, who were intent with destroying all patriarchal governments and liberate the people of this world by channeling the mythical Orb, whose existence Watson herself had informed Fern Miguel of, Watson intended to fuse with the Orb to herself to take the Eight Worlds for herself and give it a rebirth so she alone could rule as a goddess.[3][5]

Coming out into the open[]

Emily Watson Render

"Insomuch as we acknowledge the enormous injustices inflicted upon these unfortunate people, the many enslaved and indentured servants must also be taken into account, those whose labor still brings unscrupulous profit to the patriarchy today."
―Emily Watson[src]

In December of 2019, Emily Watson's activism evolved from solitary protesting to taking part in demonstrations throughout the United States of America, making several high-profile public speeches and mobilizing her growing number of followers on social media platforms as the popularity of Unity of Queens increased rapidly. After the general elections of the previous month established Joe Biden as the forty-fifth male in the Presidential position in the month that followed, Emily became increasingly active on Unity of Queens, inspiring school students across the star system to do their part to take a stand against the patriarchial ways of society. Throughout February of 2021, more than 55,000 students had played prominent roles in online protests regarding the need for women to become more politically prominent in at least 430 cities. Emily also intervened personally in several Mexican provinces throughout the summer of 2020 to protest that it was unfair for students to appear for exams in the middle of a global pandemic, all while being shadowed by an adult who frequently did Spanish translations on her behalf. Effigies of Emily were burned in Mexico City by men who believed the child had no place there.

Emily's speech at the Jovian Conference of Societal Equality went viral, in which she urged men to take up the cause of feminism and infamously claimed that the world leaders were not nearly mature enough to remain objective in their political assessments. In the first half of 2021, she began joining various student protests around America, and was invited to speak at various forums and parliaments. In various cities, Emily's keynote speech began by acknowledging that she was standing on land that originally belonged to Indigenous peoples, stating that the injustice therein was of the patriarchy. Emily also called on International Resolutions Inc. to cease the severely inequal payment of its female employees, but an official statement soon came forth affirming that they would continue running business as usual, regardless of "any collective bullying against our operations". Emily was undaunted, however, and called on several similar companies who had similar problems, with varying degrees of success.[1] She also occasionally spoke openly about transgender rights.[3] While her activism did not interfere with her schoolwork, she had considerably less spare time. Whenever she was at school, Emily seemed to get along with Valiera Nelson and the members of her posse, though she apparently did not hang out with them consistently. She also befriended Ludwig Beethoven II, who had few if any friends beforehand. Watson also kept her distance from her brother.[1]

In the mix, she began spending more time with TLX-9201810. Not content with calling a robot of near-human intelligence a number, Emily renamed her Rory.[2]

Throughout her education, Watson read a lot of history, and became abhorred by the knowledge she gained of the countless atrocities committed by humanity. It also occurred to her that most of the humans she had read about were male, much like the father that was mistreating her. She was confronted by a memorial of World War II that had been installed as a memorial, fanatically considering it a daily reminder of just how cruel men really were. Gradually, the naïve child grew horrified, viewing the actions of men as devastating to not only women but all life as a whole.[1]

The madness begins[]

"Everyone knows that girls are smarter. But how can I prove it? There are so many who would go against my opinion."
―Emily Watson[src]

Having come close to completing her plans, Emily Watson was given command of the League of Wretched Worms and her father introduced her to their leader, Longfellow. Watson soon deemed the male gender, particularly the underage population, as the greatest threat to system peace. Because of her hatred for boys, which had finally reached boiling point when she spoke with Ludwig Beethoven II of the matter, Watson built a trap to ruin the boys’ reputations. For the project, Helen McKeen placed her in charge of the Girl-Team.

In the meantime, the Thunder Queen's killer Steven Thompson came, much to her chagrin.[1] She had watched him shoot her mother as a toddler and now she vowed revenge.[2] Two days later, Emily's schoolteacher, Mrs. Marsh, told of the science fair and show and tell assembly coming up, picquing Emily's interest. The following week, she and Helen got in a fight and split for the afternoon. Three days later, they ultimately made up and resumed their friendship. She had already become aware of Helen's plans for a superweapon, but Helen had to inform her that she was unable to pool together the resources for a super laser and that its construction simply could not happen. Emily reassured her that another resolution would present itself. Sure enough, while Emily discretely partook in a school fire drill, intelligence operatives scanned the empty classrooms, including the science classroom, where they came upon drill ingots.[1] Emily was soon informed of the cutting-edge technology and how it worked, and she had her agents begin work on a new superweapon, dubbed as the Supreme Ingot.[3]

The Emily Watson effect[]

"The Emily Watson effect suggests that calls to action may be able to mobilize broad segments of society, regardless of age or politics."
―A news reporter[src]

During the event, she openly challenged any male in the school to participate, and when the crowd went deathly silent, she gleefully selected a first-grader named Andrew Hendersen to endure it. Watson watched with delight as Hendersen was privately assailed with melatonin gas and (publicly) dove into a pit of sweets when he was supposed to be tackling an evil automaton. Her point having been unfairly proven to thousands of people, Emily gloated privately.[1]

Emily's controversial actions inspired a number of her school-aged peers in what would later be described as "the Emily effect". Numerous projects were launched all across the country and beyond to prove Emily's ideals were cemented on truly tried and tested facts, with varying degrees of success. In response to her outspoken stance, various politicians acknowledged the need to focus on gender equality. According to a subsequent study, those who were more familiar with Emily Watson had higher intentions of taking collective actions to reduce the corruption of the patriarchy.[3]

The boys then took revenge on the girls, with the help of an eclectic teenage girl named Summer Petersen who had an inconsistent yet strong relationship with Thompson. When Watson headed outside, Thompson, Petersen, Vincent Organa, and the latter's brother Jay called Watson a zero by holding up signs. When she growled angrily, Thompson held up a second sign with the words "Cowboy Up" on it and Vincent teasingly offered her a baby bottle. This infuriated Watson and she returned to the Pink Depot and convinced the majority of the girls, many of who were flooded with dark energy after all, that the boys would keep moving unless they were dead. She also pulled Helen aside to help reassure her conscience.[1]

Around this time, Watson's virtually non-stop assessments for peace quickly led her to deem the entire male gender as unstable and prone to not only their self-destruction but the bringing the female gender with them to the grave. The young woman subsequently chose genocide as the solution to the error with the Armies of Organa being the obstacle truly standing in her way.[2][5]

Attack in the cafeteria[]

"Look, whatever happened when we were babies, it's ancient history, Emily. If I hadn't shot your mom, she'd have shot mine. You know, Tanesha? Tanesha Thompson? I think we should all put it behind us. You can even join my little friend group. I mean, Summer and Dustin are more unconventional than you are, and that's saying something. Whatdya say, huh?"
"I say, the next time you throw my mother's name around, you’ll wish I only had a flamethrower.
"
―Steven Thompson and Emily Watson[src]

Two days after the Armies of Organa's revenge plot was over, Emily burst out on Steven with a blowtorch when Steven accidentally threw a tray of food on her (something Beethoven II caused without Watson's knowledge). Steven was also the Boy-Team leader. He became horrified at the prospect of fighting her and pathetically begged her to show him mercy, only for her to calmly and smugly catch him off-guard with a flamethrower. A shocked and utterly mortified Steven asked to know where the deadly weapon came from, with Emily revealing it to be an exclusive family product. As he helplessly scrambled for cover, she forced him onto the defensive, melting a tray he tried using as a shield and forcing him to duck under a table when Cera Lewis shoved him away from the fire extinguisher. Watson believed she had him cornered, but Summer Petersen and the Organa twins turned up, confronting her for hurting their new friend. It was in this moment that he was able to fight back with brute strength, and a battle ensued in the cafeteria, almost destroying it. Watson was hurled against the ceiling and crushed a lunch table upon landing roughly on it, but she quickly recovered thanks to her extraordinary physical fitness, and she began charging at him, only to be pushed backward when Vincent Organa threw Steven his laser sword on low power, stinging and briefly disorienting the girl. Before she could regain her footing, Principal Zambaux arrived and they were both thrown to detention. Thompson tried to apologize to Watson for whatever happened in the past, but she told him that if he crossed her again, she would kill him. In the mix, a special agent named Dyer, who had been enlisted by Longfellow to find a creature called Spiddie T. Spider, went for a razor blade, and Steven killed him in response, much to the rage of Emily and the members of the League of Wretched Worms. The boys would fight back, laying forth the final groundwork for a civil war.[1]

School War[]

Battle of Draper[]

"Steven and Summer must not find our designs for the ultimate weapon. If they do, we’re doomed!"
"Then I will take them home with me, where they will be safer.
"
―Helen McKeen to Emily Watson[src]

Having boarded a helicopter with Natalia Thornton, Emily Watson found the boys at a secret meeting. Although she did not know what they had discussed, she did locate Steven Thompson and captured him, and in doing so, unintentionally captured Andrew Hendersen and their friend Summer Petersen as well. She decided to make all three of them die publicly to make an example of the "traitors" to the outside world, having them sent to Andy Ballard Arena while she gave Thornton a pistol. Radjatowsky brought out Dyer's corpse, and Emily knelt to the man's dead body and martyred him, asking the brave agent to be taken back to his family by his fellow nomads. After getting up from the body, she declared the execution of Steven Thompson.

During the event, the three of them were chained to a wall, and Thornton, alongside two vicious teenagers named Susan and Narrisa, were released to blast them to shreds. Alongside Helen McKeen, Ludwig Beethoven II, and Radjatowsky, Watson observed from a high balcony, while thousands of spectators packed the stands. However, the execution did not go precisely as planned: the three escaped their chains, Steven claimed a gun, and Summer kicked Susan off the ceiling. Beethoven was furious that the three prisoners weren’t killed as planned, but Watson waved her hand for calm, prompting him to recoil submissively in response, regretting his outburst.

The three prisoners were still dodging several spectators who had decided to attack them themselves when the executions were interrupted by the sudden arrival of Boy-Team reinforcements. All the boys had seen the capture and had gone to rescue the imprisoned trio. Their leader was Vincent Organa, who approached Watson on the balcony, but spoke with her briefly instead of ambushing her. However, McKeen shoved him off the balcony and onto the arena floor. As Vincent landed on the arena floor, dropships descended from the sky, carrying Jay and many armed boys. The Armies of Organa had long concealed many weapons in their hidden foundries. The radical spectators opened fire again, but the reinforcements provided enough cover for the prisoners to escape onto the dropships.

Similar landings took place outside Andy Ballard Arena, where Girl-Team core vehicles had been parked. A Boy-Team invasion swept across the streets of Draper, and the girls were forced into full retreat. The leader of the Girl-Team regrouped by a series of well-concealed trees, and agreed to order a retreat. Helen also entrusted the plans of the Girls’ Ultimate Weapon to Emily to keep the boys from discovering them.[1]

Confrontation with the Armies of Organa[]

File:Emily Watson BVG1.png

Emily Watson brandishing her L-9 baton during the Battle of Draper.

"As you see, your powers are nothing in comparison to my own. Now, back down, while you still can. It really is a pity; we should be working together. I am vexed for my mother's passing, but I am not unforgiving. I repeat, back down before it's too late."
"Oh, I don't think so. That's all you've been since I met you! If peace is what you want, let it remain."
"You don’t understand, and that's why you've been confusing peace with quiet. You can't understand, because you're reading the last chapter, without reading the first chapters in advance. After all, you turned up out of Nebraska less than four weeks ago. Little boys always think they’re coming in at the beginning, when usually they're arriving near the end.
"
―Emily Watson and Steven Thompson[src]

With the secret battle plans in tow, Emily Watson made her way to a nearby hangar on the back of her pet lioness Spearhead. As she rode, Emily ordered Natalia Thornton and Cera Lewis to clear her path. Indeed, Jay Organa saw her and became determined to stop her, but Natalia and Cera fought him while a teenager kept Cera up to date as to Emily's whereabouts. Arriving at their position, Emily congratulated Cera for her efforts before telling Spearhead to get a move-on. Jay managed to push three girls out of their tanks, but Emily evaded him, only to realize Steven Thompson and Summer Petersen were now in close pursuit of her. Josh Hogan tried to join in the pursuit, but was thrown off of a bicycle by a nearby Techno Drone. Arriving at her destination, she sent Spearhead away on an elevator, where two of her allies had promised to take the insentient feline home for her. They arrived as Emily was preparing her Skater for launch and confronted her. Steven instructed Summer to be cautious in her approach, but Summer charged at Emily. The teenager was unprepared for Emily’s resulting outstretched hand that hit her and slammed her against the wall of the hangar. Petersen collapsed to the floor, temporarily incapacitated, leaving Thompson alone to face Watson.

Watson told Thompson to back down, but he refused and then attempted to keep the peace, telling her that they all wanted the same thing and could work together to achieve it, however Watson ignored these comments by arguing that the Armies of Organa mistook a peaceful sociopolitical climate for a quiet one as she unsheathed her electrified baton, citing that he thought he was around for the beginning of Utah's troubles and her ascension to power, when he was actually arriving near the end of it. This completely went over Thompson's head, and he viciously swung at the baton to cleave it in half, but Watson smugly deflected the attack, shocking Thompson that she had come more prepared than that. As Watson calmly met his subsequent slashes, which were extremely vicious and reckless, it became clear he was outmatched in pole-to-blade combat. After shoving his blade aside, Watson drove her baton into his shoulder and electrocuted him. Incapacitated, Thompson fell to the floor. Watson raised her baton length for the killing stroke, but before it fell, Petersen, having recovered from her previous injuries, threw a brick at her hand, causing a startled Watson to drop the baton.

Choosing to defer to unarmed combat in lieu of reclaiming her weapon, Watson engaged in a fistfight with Petersen. The duel went on while Thompson was too injured to interfere, intensifying until Petersen left herself open for a moment and Watson wasted no time grabbing her in a headlock while mocking her about Thompson, but when she noticed that a statement Watson made was something she had once been told by Vincent Organa, Petersen realized that Watson and Organa had spent a lot of time together. Watson took offense to being compared to Vincent and punched Summer's head.

File:Clash of Legends.png

Emily fought against Vincent Organa before retreating as her forces' control over Draper was being subverted.

But as Emily ranted, calling Vincent a plague, the man himself arrived stopping her mid sentence. She turned her flamethrower upon him, but he used his powers to break it. There, the Girl-Team leader and the former Boy-Team leader dueled in a battle. Emily also expressed her confidence that Helen was with her, as well as order, although Vincent retorted that her faith will eventually become misplaced like her faith in the Darkness. The two combatants demonstrated amazing strength and skill, as well as amazing melee weapon prowess. Both of them were evenly matched. Eventually, the battle progressed to greater levels when Organa was deprived of his laser sword and forced to use the Kraft to keep Watson away. The Kraton tried to crush Emily with chairs, but Emily quickly overcame these offensive moves by remote-controlling several drones to flank her.

The battle eventually ended in a draw after Watson’s flamethrower was returned to her in a blast so powerful that it pushed the two children apart. Watson managed to grab onto a platform, sliding down to the floor of the Meeting Room. Exhausted, and forced to act due to incoming Boy-Team reinforcements, she fled and escaped through several service pipes, and climbed onto her Skater and hurried away, free to leave Draper at long last.[1]

Training Helen McKeen[]

File:Thunder Quarters interior.png

Emily became the martial arts mentor to Helen McKeen just after the outbreak of the School War.

"Retreat is a fully viable option. It allows you to reassess your odds and find a better time to make a more genuine difference."
"I agree entirely, but the men who write our history books may not see it that way."
"Listen to me, when morons disapprove, the wise are praised. Your name will be written in glory when women finally put men in their place and make their rightful mark on society.
"
―Emily Watson and Helen McKeen[src]

Having fled the battle, Emily Watson set her course for home, landing inside with her Skater. Helen McKeen arrived soon after, and met with her best friend and informed her that the secret weapon would soon be completed. Emily was pleased with Helen and offered to train her in preparation for the violent battles that lay ahead. Helen agreed, but she believed that it sent the wrong message to run away from someone as young and forceful as Vincent Organa. Emily wisely assured her not to regret their retreat, and while she believed historians may believe otherwise, she simply told her that the disfavor of the injudicious was equivalent with flattery to the sagacious. She promised that it was names like theirs who would be written in glory when the war was won.[1] A day after the battle, Emily promptly attended a press conference and joined twenty-five other children. Together, the group announced they had made an official complaint against eight nations, six being Terran, that are not on track to meet the promised amount of work to equalize their own people as promised in previous political pledges. Around this time, Steven Thompson announced his official surge as the Supreme Commander, while an insurgent named Ursula Blackham secretly played a top-secret recording.[3] Listening to the speech, Emily turned and ascended a flight of stairs.[1] Subsequently, she began training her in the martial arts, of which Helen proved to have a natural aptitude for. Between the remainder of her daily schedule, Emily put aside ninety minutes every Tuesday and Thursday evening to teach Helen, with the two women fighting each other without holding back until Emily could consider herself satisfied with Helen's abilities.[3]

Dealings with the Magistrate[]

File:Emily Watson and Romilda Harvard.jpg

Along with Harvard, Watson was manipulated and befriended by the Orc Devil, a creation of the Black Queen.

"I noticed that you came here. So I decided to loosen up your tiny brains with a little neurological simulation."
―Emily Watson gloating[src]

A short time after beginning the training, a captain named Betsy reported her failure to solve the code to the bombers back to Watson, and was thrown to Spearhead by her. Romilda Harvard, who was watching, informed her that "the Orc Devil" summoned her to speak to her immediately in person, to which she excitedly agreed. Watson arrived with Harvard at Thunder Quarters where it was revealed that she is in league with who she knew as the Orc Devil.[3] In truth, the Black Queen was the apex of the dark influence, using the Orc Devil as a proxy to hold sway over Watson.[6] Given a date for the bombings, Watson demanded the promise of Thompson's head, to which the Black Queen told her he stood no chance either way. The Black Queen told her that in order to bring the Magistrate into the folds of the Girl-Team, Watson was to kidnap the son of the Magistrate, Eegan Grover, and blame the crime on would-be rescuer, Steven Thompson himself. The two also agreed that in the future, whenever they spoke it would be in person. During the bombings, Ludwig Beethoven II and his band of Aerial Techno Drones ran into Thompson and Petersen, who attempted to flee only to be trapped by a suction tube. Thompson could not hold back his anger and fired a bullet into Beethoven II's Skater, destroying it. Although they took off to prevent any more bombs from being launched, it is unknown how Beethoven escaped the wreckage.

Accelerating her more grandiose plans, Watson enlisted Helen McKeen to kidnap the Magistrate’s son. After Helen delivered the baby to a Burger King outlet, Emily told her she needed to take custody of Eegan. The Magistrate had requested Kraton assistance from the Boy-Team to rescue her son, in return for support in the war. As a result, Emily met with the Magistrate personally in the Royal Palace of the Magistrate. She displayed a partially edited recording of Steven and Eegan that Helen had produced. This recording enraged the Magistrate, who demanded that Eegan be rescued and Steven’s head delivered to her. Emily agreed, and commanded Helen to retrieve Eegan from Steven and return him alive to the Magistrate. However, Helen was unable to prevent the escape of Steven, Summer, and Eegan from the restaurant.

Later, Emily Watson lied to the Magistrate that Eegan had been killed by the boys, and offered to kill Steven in return. She dispatched Aerial Techno Drones to destroy Steven’s incoming ship, the Heartbreaker. While the fighters were destroyed, they succeeded in disabling the vessel, which crashed near the Whitehouse. Summer and Steven left Eegan in the car as they headed out. When Emily heard that they survived, she told the Magistrate that her loyal agent Radjatowsky would deal with them herself, and the agent gleefully left to confront Steven.

Radjatowsky soon discovered them, flanked by two Aerial Techno Drones hovering pointedly just above the ground as she initiated a three-way duel, citing that she's creating a distraction as she was already on top of things with the Magistrate. The Else had arrived in the city quarter mere moments ago. Heading inside the city quarter at once to meet her, Emily Watson then headed for the office, hoping to tell The Else the boys had tried to kill her. However, Steven found The Else’s office first and he and Summer successfully delivered the infant to his mother. While enormously pleased at the return of Eegan, The Else still demanded the deaths of the rescuers. However, a data file Summer found delivered evidence of Emily Watson's involvement in the kidnapping deflected the Magistrate’s fury onto the Girl-Team.

The following month, she was featured in the Time magazine's July 2021 issue, being credited for her increasingly gutsy approach to feminism and her refreshing emphasis on the involvement of men.[3]

"Activists and children are certainly needed in order to bring awareness about gender equality."
―Emily Watson[src]

Emily Watson jumped onto Spearhead's back and gave chase, her L-9 baton in hand. Josh ran down the hallway.

Later on, the Bow-Tie was declared complete, and Emily Watson personally attended an open house where Helen McKeen gave a speech about the superweapon and its nature. Returning home with Cera Lewis, she intercepted two spies sent by the Supreme Commander himself. One of them, Tyrone, insisted that Steven Thompson would stop Watson, only for her to rebuff the scout before telling them to pass a message to Thompson to send his strongest armies to intercept the brand-new superweapon as soon as he would like. As the two men left, she had Lewis murder Tyrone.

Throughout the following month, Emily participated in several gender equality protests. She even contributed a voiceover for a release of "The Modern Consortium", a song by the Venusian band by the same name. In November 2021, X-Terminate set her iconic US Action Summit speech to death metal. It was at that point that she became the very first resident of Provo, Utah to be awarded a Key to the City for her commendable yet secretly pragmatic work to raise awareness all around the Eight Worlds. She was also recognized as one of the BBC's 100 women of 2021.[3]

Battle of the Bow-Tie[]

Inside the Bow-Tie, Emily Watson was contacted by Natalia Thornton contacted Emily Watson and Helen McKeen, the leaders of the Girl-Team. In a panic, she told them that the Boy Team had launched a squad of fighters to attack their base. Confidently, Emily told her to let them come. Helen warned her not to underestimate Steven, and pointed out that the Boy-Team had sent some of their best warriors. Emily rebuffed Helen, telling her that she and Natalia worried too much, and Steven would surely underestimate them. As battle raged outside the war station, the impatient Thornton asked if they could fire, and Watson granted her permission. On the command of Vincent Organa, all the ships launched their torpedoes toward the giant stabilizer charging the Supreme Ingot. The superweapon's stabilizer took a hit; explosions ruptured the Bow-Tie’s center. Aggravated, and sensing someone had already infiltrated the war station, Watson took off to intercept her quarry. Helen fired another supercharge, but it stopped midair and vaporized as another explosion tore at the hull; the Girl-Team lost the Supreme Ingot and shield generator.

Watson somehow was able to jam one of the elevators, and the infiltrator turned out to be none other than Steven Thompson himself. Unsheathing her baton, she lunged at her archenemy, beginning a brief yet fierce duel with the latter during which she realized his training had come a long way. The clash led both combatants into the observation tower next door. Reluctant to leave his friend to contend with Watson alone, Josh Hogan initiated Plan B by scaling the top deck of the observation tower with Corey Gonzalez. Thompson quickly disarmed Watson and seized the advantage. He offered her anonymity if she would surrender. Watson claimed Thompson’s victory was not to last. Before Steven could reply, Josh contacted him and said that while the boys had destroyed the Bow-Tie’s shield generator, the ship’s hull was too strong for their laser cannons, meaning they would have to destroy it from the inside. Steven rushed to help, leaving Emily behind, much to her confusion. Making her way to a security camera, she watched as Thompson and Hogan headed onto a tower and cut down two more Techno Drones. She chose to finish what she started. Summoning a group of Techno Drones, she departed and ordered Helen McKeen, who had followed her, to stay put. As Thompson neared the control station, Watson quickly intercepted and threatened him, although she also wondered where Hogan was. Hordes of Techno Drones poured in and opened fire, forcing Thompson to run. In response, Watson told the Techno Drones to hold fire, then chased Thompson with her baton out.

She found him at a bridge, where he ran into Josh Hogan and Corey Gonzalez. Hoping to kill all three of them and foil their plan to destroy her superweapon, Watson challenged them to combat. Hogan shouted at Gonzalez to flee and he left with the bombs. After Steven Thompson sealed the doors to prevent Emily Watson from pursuing Corey Gonzalez, she quickly pinned him under a pile of boxes, leaving Josh Hogan to face the revolutionary alone. Although he whipped out his laser sword and slashed at Watson, he quickly found Watson to be the more skilled and powerful one out of the two.

Watson parried all of Hogan's attacks before sarcastically stating that she expected much more from a student Thompson held in such high esteem and then counter-attacking, lifting Hogan off his feet and disarming him of his laser sword before choking him and saying he had brought about nothing. Hogan tried to fight back desperately with a flurry of kicks, but Watson easily overpowered Hogan and slashed him in the back of his neck, narrowly missing a chance to behead him. Thompson lunged at her, but Watson defeated Thompson easily and sent out a wave with her flamethrower to hurt them both. Gloating, Watson confidently raised her blade for the kill, believing she had finally won Thompson's head.

Just then, Michael Watson showed up and demanded Watson stay her hand. Freely professing her callous disregard for their unchangeable status as siblings, Watson brandished her baton and drove her brother back along the corridor to a conference room, where Michael rallied and pulled Emily into a bladelock. Breaking contact, Michael unleashed a rapid series of unsuccessful attacks against Emily, and was driven back into a series of chairs by Emily’s steady offensive march. Michael unexpectedly flipped towards the bay window, which was quickly shattered by their missed attacks just as sirens went off all around the war station. As they moved out onto the wind-blown ledge, the duelists engaged in a brief flurry of bladework, but Emily’s slight decrease in speed provided an opening, allowing Michael to end the bout and disarm Emily, leaving her retreating against the window frame. At that moment, Helen McKeen appeared, convinced that the girls were fighting for order and justice.

When Helen McKeen attempted to better understand Watson by reading her notebooks, the documents allowed her to discover something that horrified her but that she refused to disclose, cutting the awkward tension when Michael tried to take advantage of the distraction to pin Emily down. Emily punched him in the stomach and dragged him over to a chair, binding him and declaring that she was momentarily sparing his life just so he could watch her bask in what she presumed would be her ultimate victory, whilst cruelly citing that their family was better off without him anyway. Just then, Andrew Hendersen rushed inside. Ignoring him, Emily left with Helen and they descended an elevator before they suddenly heard sirens blaring, confusing Emily, as she had never ordered an evacuation. Unaware that the chaos was the foundation for the successful destruction of her superweapon, she left to take control of the situation. Helen drove them to the other side of the war station, where they prepared to dock only for the Bow-Tie to suddenly ignite its booster rockets and shoot into the air right in front of her, and the Girl-Team's mostly evacuated headquarters were destroyed once and for all. Emily was not very concerned, as the Pink Depot had not gone anywhere, and the time for consistent physical warfare deep in the fields was past. At this point, she was nearly ready to conquer Utah's politics, while insisting that Mitt Romney must be surrounded entirely before she made her next move.[3]

Betrayed by Helen McKeen[]

Emily Watson explaining her true race-splitting goals

The night after the Bow-Tie fell, Emily Watson arrived from the other room in her draping scarlet pajamas, sensing an unwelcome person or persons was in her house. Upon seeing only Helen McKeen, Watson asked her what had happened. In response, McKeen revealed that when she had attempted to better understand Watson by reading her notebooks, the documents had allowed her to discover that Watson's actual plan was to eliminate the male gender (as no one ever told her about sexual reproduction before and Adrienne Clancy secretly sought to take care of this loose end on her own terms and have procreation be served through the cultivation of the Euphemism Chamber), which would usher in a new age of the Sol System's evolution. Watson attempted to defend her actions, noting that there was no room for the weak in the world. Realizing her best friend had changed sides, Emily accused Helen of trying to misguide her, and said she was bringing power to the Girl-Team. Helen also tried to reason with her former friend, but the idea of an emotion she had never fully experienced, being stronger than her ability to instill fear and control, sent Watson over the edge. After Helen resolved she had no choice but to fight, Watson told her she would try, and lunged forward with a feral warcry to attack her former apprentice and oldest friend.

Watson and McKeen fought an intense duel throughout the halls of Thunder Quarters, with the former frequently kicking her and laughing with hideous delight every time McKeen's defense began faltering, with her raw fury and quick thinking keeping her toe-to-toe with McKeen's muscular body and significant size advantage. The battle ended on a ramp, where Helen leaped to safety in order to claim the high ground, pleading with Emily to concede defeat and abandon the fight as Denim Spikes had done. Goaded on by her seething rage, Watson ignored her tactical disadvantage and attempted to make the same jump hundreds of feet down, pole angled for the kill, only for McKeen to blast apart two supporting beams and make a break for it. As she did this, Watson's own house fell down on top of her, knocking the wind out of her. McKeen tearfully took her baton and left her to die underneath the rubble.

Emily being trapped underneath the rubble

Beneath the rubble, Watson awoke and discovered that she was now trapped between two large pieces of debris. Unable to move and barely able to breathe, Watson attempted to free herself by mustering all of her strength, and when this failed, the now terrified Watson then desperately cried for someone to help her, only for her plea for help going unanswered, leaving her alone. A few minutes later, Kate arrived out of nowhere with Ludwig Beethoven II. Encouraged by the support they offered, Watson regained her resolve and, now assisted, began to painfully push all the rubble off of her. Finally, she broke free of her entrapment and began to furiously plot her next move, at which point she opted to destroy her boy book to ensure no one did as Helen had done.

When the second semester of the 2021-22 academic year began shortly thereafter, Emily Watson found Steven Thompson, who was wearing an orthopedic cast, during an early school day on a Tuesday morning. Having learned of Emily's true genocidal agenda, Steven confronted her about her selfish and underhanded deeds, only for her to slip under the railing and leave him to sulk without her. She soon encountered Summer Petersen, who was wearing a cast too, and told her she had a special position for her. She told Emily that the Armies of Organa had forced her to help them breach the observation tower and proceeded to oblige to her proposal, subsequently taking up the self-picked alias of the Sanguine Bullet; the being's identity was to be known only to Emily's inner circle. Helen's betrayal, however, marked an important turning point in Emily Watson's life, because following their vicious New Years duel, she never displayed her cold merciless precision and clarity of mind again.[3]

Opening the Orb[]

The coup of Utah[]

"Let me? Let me? Do I look like some cliché supervillain who would monologue about my master plan if there was the tiniest chance of you affecting the outcome? The coup already started half an hour ago."
―Emily Watson speaking to Steven Thompson, Helen McKeen, and Charles Hugh[src]

Without Helen McKeen in the picture, Emily Watson attended Cavalier of Thornton meetings more consistently, at least some of which were held in the Adrespike Field. However, I.D.E.A.L. grew suspicious and Watson promptly betrayed her accomplices, having Techno Drones keep a close eye on them, especially Natalia Thornton. To accomplish this, she browsed her archived files from the now-defunct Pink Depot and threatened to send a recording of her throttling several underage spies to the Orem Police Department under the guise of a Tower Placement student in school slaughtering normal students, forcing Thornton to grudgingly allow herself to be heavily monitored. However, she continued to plot ways that she could open the Orb without the help of the Cavaliers.[5] Everybody Wants to Change the Eight Worlds was a contemplation by Emily by bringing together over one hundred fifty experts to all provide their insights, with the book also compiling most of her feminist speeches. She donated her copyright and all royalties generated by the book to charity, having no intention to personally profit from sales or other commercial uses. She immediately began drafting another book, The Gender Book, a thematically charged work in progress. Having been working on her plan to rewrite state law for weeks, Emily Watson advanced her plans to take the Utah Capitol from the inside and she successfully plotted a conspiracy with the treacherous politician and Girl-Team mole Adrienne Clancy.

At her behest, the Girl-Team fleet launched a siege of the Decemahead while Clancy's men surrounded Senator Mitt Romney. Watson took charge of the prisoners, leaving the Sanguine Bullet to command the sky battle outside. She eventually arrived in the chamber surrounding the shafts in the center rung and began reading out everyone's fates as she had recently planned them out.

However, she was interrupted by the arrival of Steven Thompson, Helen McKeen, and Charles Hugh, and furiously threw a heavy bar at Thompson to knock him to the ground, yelling at the new arrivals to leave her alone. When asked of it, Watson explained that the Orb was a way to change the Eight Worlds, accusing the Armies of Organa of being terrified of that concept. Steven told her that he could not let her go forward with the bloodless coup, but she smugly pointed out that she never would have explained anything to him if he could affect the outcome without changing the past itself, whilst continuing to deny her nature as a malevolent girl. Enraged, Steven responded by insisting that she could not hope to win in a three-on-one contest; in response, she used Josh's fourteen-month-old brother, Cade Hogan, to blackmail Steven into opening the shafts; with her flamethrower, she threatened to destroy Cade from the inside out if her archenemy would not cooperate. When Steven relented, Emily released Cade and placed him in the care of a nearby automaton, while everyone still free to stand followed Steven to the sealed shafts.[3]

Battle in the Red Battlements[]

"Take the baby to the Orc Devil's dungeons! And let him rot with her!"
―Emily Watson ordering Radjatowsky to transfer Cade Hogan[src]

After Steven Thompson had used the fingerprint sensors to open the shafts and expose the ominously glowing Orb, Emily Watson extended her hand forward[3] and imbued the Orb with the potential genetic information of women to make them far easier to control under her dark influence.[2] Facing a repeated demand for Cade Hogan, Emily quickly activated her laser sword and swung at Steven Thompson, forcing Helen McKeen to defend him while he reached for his own weapon. Charles Hugh attacked her in utter disgust and the four of them did battle, with Watson fending off all three of her assailants and proving herself a vastly superior fighter who had learned to predict all three of their attacks. Evading a vicious power thrust from Charles, she feinted with her blade and promptly landed a hard punch on Helen's jaw, visibly staggering her. Helen tossed Steven her laser sword, and Steven came upon Emily with a brief flurry of bladework before Emily kicked his knee, almost breaking it. Steven accidentally stumbled into Helen, causing her to hit her head against the side of a metallic pillar and hurting her badly. Charles attempted a surprise attack, but Emily lurched backward and kicked his abdomen, causing him to double over in pain. Emily prepared to make her final move, but was thwarted when a large dragon swatted her aside. Forced to relinquish her archenemy, Emily promptly left the eighteenth level while Helen took her semi-automated pistol, recognizing its previous owner and grimly deducing that Renae Alvarez-Chapman was dead.

Amused by how things had turned out, Watson began laughing and told her she could not afford sentiment nor mercy in the future, cryptically citing there was no need to move against Clancy because Watson was "already there". Angered that her plan to kill Thompson failed and he could come back to try and close the shafts again, she had Radjatowsky take Cade Hogan and imprison the baby in the Orc Devil's vile lair. As McKeen and Thompson rushed to futilely stop Radjatowsky, Watson proceeded to call upon the Orb's mystical power to Deteleport without another word with Hugh unable to do anything about it. Watson returned home, knowing Utah itself was all but delivered into the hands of the Girl-Team. In fact, one of Clancy's agents had remarked earlier to Senator Romney that Watson was both terrifying and inspirational, a perfect example of her talents.

Not every aspect of the night went Watson's way, however, for the freed members of the Decemahead infiltrated the lower levels to save Cade and destroyed the Orc Devil once and for all, resulting in Romilda Harvard permanently falling limp. Although Watson never learned that the Black Queen was her true benefactress, while the Orc Devil served as the Satanic divinity's proxy, she had already begun to lose her grip on reality, and the truth of the Orc Devil's nature only made it worse. Watson was finally forced to admit that the Orc Devil had been using her and that she (Watson) must not have been the borderline genius she already was, opting to follow through with her plan to complete fusion with the Orb and utilize her new power of Utah to its fullest in order to use the Armies of Organa as a funnel to wipe every boy and man off of the face of the Eight Worlds.[3][2][6]

Affixing her authority[]

"Ah. It seems you've made a friend, Toli. All creatures deserve freedom. But freedom has a price, and the weak shall pay! This is to be the fate of Steven Thompson. Nothing shall stop us!"
―Emily Watson killing Toli[src]

With the Orc Devil's annihilation, Emily Watson succeeded her as both the herald of Thunder Quarters and the political leader of the Girl-Team. Along with these ranks, she already had the rank of military leader. Soon afterwards, Watson's old associate, Longfellow, was installed at Tower Placement under the guise of the far-famed General Exotorn. He ran the school like a military camp and did everything in his power to suppress the influence of the Boy-Team, as Watson found it unwise to contest them directly until she was ready. Immersed in the ever-increasing might of the Orb, Watson instituted a zero-tolerance policy against "subversive" cities, directing her forces to hunt and destroy all dissidents who opposed her reign.

Holding more power than she ever had in her entire life up to that point, the revolutionary made good on her vow to punish any city that showed anything less than absolute loyalty. Making her way to the neutral city of Vernal, which had refused to assist her in any shape or form, Watson's forces effortlessly defeated and destroyed all that moved in the city, even the animals. Watson stepped out to face her assembled army, but she deduced that Toli had hid a budgie under her shirt. She asked if the Girl-Team spared anything, and while her followers denied this, she noticed Toli's budgie and firmly put her hand on Toli's shoulder and withdrew the animal before letting it go free. She proceeded to stab her to make two examples of her sacrifice: freedom has a price and she believed Steven Thompson would go the same way.

Rebuilding her command in the wake of the Orc Devil's downfall, Emily brought Seraphina Donahue and the Godslayer to the forefront of her operations after discovering the reserve forces under Seraphina's command. She also transferred her command to Seraphina's warship. Emily entrusted important jobs to both of these women she had just taken under her confidence. As the ultimate authority within Utah herself, nevertheless, Emily formed a regime that was different from the one overseen by her arcane predecessor. She sought to foster cooperation among the top military leaders, and as such Emily formed the Syndicate of Light as her inner circle, which involved Seraphina and the Godslayer, who pledged that their resources were at her disposal, Alison Carroway, who was permitted to lead the armies on her own terms, and Adrienne Clancy, who did not wish to become openly involved yet gladly supported Emily in secret.

Under Emily's leadership and with its military spreading across the United States of America and even to far off regions of the Eight Worlds, the Girl-Team was confident that, under their revered leader, the Eight Worlds were on the verge of achieving unprecedented harmony. Cera Lewis regarded her leader's regime as the harbinger of peace, establishing a new era in place of the bound U.S. Government, which Cera viewed as a turbulent period of chaos and corruption. The largely patriarchal governments, so divided and at war with one another, were unprepared to face the threat of the Syndicate of Light, and many autonomous cities gladly capitulated to Emily's rule. However, she lusted for even greater power. After the carnage within Vernal, Watson began frequently having nightmares about the war and often saw men ripping apart small girls in her head, exacerbating her desperation to finish construction on the Haven of the Pure and making her impatient to watch the Orb finish opening up so she could find its whereabouts and finish fusing with it to cement her unmovable throne and become the despotic ruler of all. She was not sleeping well either, as she had dark circles under her eyes by this point.[2]

Revelation of Summer Petersen's duplicity[]

"You're not with us, you're against us!"
―Emily Watson to Summer Petersen[src]

Eventually, Emily Watson handed full control of Tower Placement to Longfellow. However, when Jay Organa exposed his true identity just after Easter, he was suspended for fraud and allegations of child abuse. Three weeks passed, and the Orb, which had become the target of an organized search conducted by Girl-Team Intelligence ever since its relocation during the coup, was successfully located and hidden away on the revolutionary's behest. The following week, she hatched a plan that would neutralize the Armies of Organa - permanently. She told her plan to Summer Petersen and Helen McKeen in private.

Days later, Emily tried to cut down Steven Thompson in the middle of class, but was intercepted by Petersen, who had developed an increasingly huge crush on him and could not allow this. When Petersen irrationally yelled that she had no power there and she would never have any contact with Thompson again, Watson quickly realized she was her enemy the whole time and, as the tension rose, prepared to fight Petersen when the teacher, Danny, arrived at the scene and picked up on two blasts in the room. He shouted at them to stop fighting, to which Emily responded by firing a taser and blasting him aside, leaving everyone in the room in shock and too alarmed to stop her.

Choosing to divert to her second plan, Emily immediately rushed down to the office and then made a call that framed the boys for murder; as such she succeeded in getting them arrested. Although Emily had made the phone call in secret, Summer sent a message to the boys shortly before the arrest. Now that Summer's cover was blown, Emily ensured she would be arrested as well. Subsequently, she returned to Thunder Quarters with Ludwig Beethoven II and entered a private room containing a huge myriad of machinery and, unbeknownst to anyone at the time, the Orb, asking Beethoven II to make sure she isn't disturbed, as she plans to spend the rest of the day in there.[2]

A fragile state of mind[]

"So when are we starting the meeting, Emily?"
"I'm going to burn down Mota Corporation from the inside out.
"

Emily Watson speaking with Stephanie Fiennes and Kate.

On the night Emily Watson planned to announce that the Haven of the Pure was completed and the Armies of Organa were all well on their way to death watch with some loopholes making obsolete their statuses as minors, she lividly stalked her room erected within the Red Battlements where she was now spending most of her nights, not frequenting Thunder Quarters very often at all. Although she was very satisfied by her apparently absolute victory over the Boy-Team, she was livid asking herself repeatedly and out loud how she was going to explain the reality of the Orb-powered Haven of the Pure without exposing the Godslayer's identity when Kate approached her from the doorway, brightly chirping that she brought a very special person she wanted Watson to meet. Stephanie Fiennes, the right-hand woman of the CEO of Mota Corporation under Cara Mota, complimented her, saying that she always had such beautiful eyes, though Watson dismissed the compliment and asked Fiennes why she was there. When Fiennes told her she was looking forward to seeing what she and the Godslayer were planning, Watson told her not to pretend to "give two bloody dams" and that she and the Godslayer had been working on anything together at all. Looking more amused than saddened, Kate told her she wasn't who she thought she was and that with the Godslayer out of the picture, she and Fiennes were only there to help. Watson could not cope with this and threw a glass container at Fiennes' head, reducing her to tears and indirectly causing to the Godslayer's arrest, before breaking down crying herself before bitterly sobbing to herself.

Watson never learned that Fiennes' injury would indirectly lead to the Godslayer being arrested and detained in Silvercloud Asylum. Refusing to accept the part of herself who felt she was in the wrong, she could not fathom having someone like Cara Mota seeking after her and assuming she only wanted her help to "kick the Godslayer's butt", so as Ludwig Beethoven II arrived in the room Watson regained her feet and, mustering as strong a semblance of dignity as possible, told him she looked forward to arranging to have Mota Corporation destroyed from the inside out, at which point they went to the meeting together. Watson demonstrated uncharacteristic impatience and sentiment during the meeting, but unfortunately for her, she had a fleeting moment to realize to her utter horror that her plan had backfired when the boys broke out of prison and had already returned to overrun the Red Battlements.

Goaded beyond any possible point of endurance, she immediately stormed downstairs, where Andrew Hendersen taunted her; in response Watson summoned the entirety of her allies for one final battle and relished in the notion of the Armies of Organa failing the male gender while making way for the new age where every living being would be a girl. Watson personally joined the battle briefly, taking out several fighters including Lenny Hughes, before beginning a search for Steven Thompson. She bumped into Radjatowsky, who questioned why she was continuing to undermine the Armies of Organa at the cost of a more long-lived triumph, only for Watson to shove her to the floor and resume her vicious search. At last she found and engaged him, intending to put her mother to rest once and for all. During their climactic confrontation, she revealed she had welded a slew of the Orb to her body two days ago and assailed him with the superpower it granted, to manipulate cosmic energy. When it seemed Emily had the upper hand, a standoff sent the two preteens flying apart; Steven crashed into the roof hard enough to smash it open and rolled towards a crevice, but Emily was able to land safely and advanced on the stunned Steven, who noticed there was something off about her. She delightedly taunted him with ideas of his friends' predicaments, but this use of psychological combat backfired; rather than instilling self-doubt, it gave him the strength to fight back. Emily ignited her laser sword and attacked Steven with such intensity that their laser swords began to short out. Steven, taken completely off guard by Emily's sudden increase in power and aggression, was forced onto his back foot and quickly driven towards the edge of the roof. Emily continued to hammer Steven with vicious power attacks until Steven lost his footing and collapsed against the side of the roof. After a few more blows, Emily drove Steven's laser sword aside with an undercut.

Emily turned around and awkwardly invited Steven to stand up and follow her, deactivating her laser sword as emphasis. She retrieved a small remote-control device from her pocket and pressed a button, causing the roof to seemingly part itself as a high-tech platform rose up from it, unveiling the hiding place of the Orb. Upon seeing this, Steven screamed out in horror and attempted to stop her, only for Emily to knock the wind out of him with a brutally heavy strike. The spherical shape of the mass of plasma particles began to wane as it directly touched Emily and engulfed her with green energy, the entire exotic mass taking root within Emily's physical body as it welded itself to her very identity. Greedily absorbing the entire Orb, Emily let out a blast of green energy from her mouth as she screamed in a mixture of pain and anticipation. Filled with extraordinary cosmic power, Emily stumbled before standing erect again, with the imprint of the Orb on her chest, and her eyes glowing lime green.

A blinding light shone from her body. As the energy dissipated, she walked over as she reignited her laser sword, preparing to finish Steven once and for all, only for him to rear upward, mustering as much strength as he possibly could, and grabbing her by the arms before throwing her to the ground. He nearly succeeded in throwing her off the roof, but Emily blasted him away, forcing him to improvise as she began testing out her new power of flight. At first, they seemed to be evenly matched, but as Emily continued to slip into insanity, she began to wear him out in spite of his wise restraint. The two rebounded off a vibrating metal shaft and Emily kicked him away. She then swung down her laser sword on what she assumed to be her enemy, only to discover it to be an informal statue. Watson then stormed across the roof while loudly aggravating Thompson, who utilized the surrounding statues and darkened rain clouds as cover. The revolutionary began taunting him in order to infuriate him enough to let his guard down, finally goading him to resume attack. After another struggle, Thompson lunged forth and double-kicked Watson against a stationary Girl-Team tank. Furiously breaking free, she landed awkwardly at his feet, realizing she had spread the Orb's power too thinly to stop Steven from dominantly bounding over her.[2]

The last stand[]

"You are impossibly inflexible!"
―Emily Watson[src]

With her life at stake, Emily Watson temporarily abandoned her pride and begged Steven Thompson to listen to her; Thompson refused to hear her out but accepted her obvious desire for mercy, ordering her to give up her crusade, meaning that disobedience will carry severe punishment. In spite of his mercy, when Watson recovered her strength, she looked up to see Thompson embracing Petersen, which made the psychotic girl more starved for blood than ever. Determined to kill her rival once and for all, an ungrateful Watson followed and slashed Thompson in the back; while the startling sensation caused his eyes to roll up and fall unconscious, both she and a stunned Petersen understandably presumed him dead.

Emily flicked her hand to conjure cords that bound and gagged who was very recently the Sanguine Bullet before turning and stepping to the edge of the rooftop before remotely scrying the fragments of the High Rider and caused the broken fragments to fuse back together with the ability to unleash an omni-directional laser wall, converging upon the state of Utah and creating an expanding field of green energy, killing dozens of male residents. The field ripping apart every boy and man in its range was promptly interrupted when Vincent Organa arrived out of nowhere and promptly fired two ion cannon blasts from his interceptor, catching Emily off-guard and throwing her to the ground. He pointed out that while he was fresh out of his toddler years, he knew that Watson was afraid of death and hence willing to impose it upon Petersen, hence showing no fear of the Boy-Team. Vincent then acknowledged men are strange in their belief that discord and balance are separate things. Conversely, he claimed that he and all men as a whole do have their graces, which Vincent claimed that Emily failed to see. Vincent agreed but claimed that something is not beautiful because it lasts, and that it was a privilege to be among Earthlings. Angered, Emily scowled and labelled him as inflexible before hitting him with an energy blast and throwing him back into his skyfighter. The psychotic juvenile made quick work of him when she slammed his ship shut and slashed apart the engines, dropping him off the towering roof.

Turning to Summer, Emily taunted her over what was soon to come. Petersen viciously attacked, momentarily catching the madman off guard, even managing to knock her over. However, Watson unleashed a flurry of her own attacks, driving Petersen back and cruelly taunting her as they exchanged slashes and stabs with their weapons, their livid fury complimenting each other as Watson kept Petersen back, but barely.[2]

Destroyed by Summer Petersen[]

"You speak of evolution, change, prosperity, but you just… I mean, you used to have surprises up your sleeve, but now you're just flat out predictable. You fight, you unleash your full might against your enemies no matter how fair of a fight it is, you do it again a week later, over and over again. You're the one who taught me that we live so we can evolve. Change to prosper, am I right? But ever since I met you, you haven't changed a bit. It's all about destroying my bestie Steven and bringing peace to the star system, isn't it? You're brilliant, you're mighty, you've got a way with persuasion, yet you're just a bully with a warped view of prosperity, but… but you could be so much more. I guess my point is, it's not too late. Don't throw away your future now. You're only eleven years old!"
―Summer Petersen to Emily Watson[src]

Eventually, Emily Watson disarmed Summer Petersen with a quick flourish. Summer whirled around and, before she could shake off her surprise and react, Emily mercilessly punched her in the chest, slamming her off of the side of the forty-story roof. As Summer narrowly grasped hold of a balcony, Emily kicked the girl's laser sword over the roof. Emily struck the edge of the roof repeatedly with green photon blasts, impatient to see Summer fall to her doom. Summer managed to calm herself. Although Watson had disposed of her laser sword, the General remembered that Thompson's weapon still lay by her fallen boyfriend’s side, something the warmonger had almost completely forgotten. Summer climbed over and onto a balcony and quickly arrived through an elevator leading up to the roof. Emily told Summer that she never wanted to commit genocide, but Summer revealed that whilst Steven enticed her to hang out with Emily, she actually did like her and thought she had trained her well. Summer tried to somersault backwards only to stumble and trip, and Emily, incorrectly assuming she had been trying to pull a fast one on her, tried to neutralize her with a lightning blast; Summer dodged the blast before catching her off-guard with a razor net Josh Hogan had lent to her, leaving Emily shocked on the floor and temporarily unable to move. Petersen told her former mistress that she would always be a two-of-a-kind bully, but had hoped that she would have shown some capacity for growth.

File:Emily's breakdown.png

Emily Watson crying in rage as her state of mind crumbles upon her temporary incapacitation, moments before receiving her comeuppance.

Upon hearing these words, she finally cracked. She began to mindlessly slash the cords, one by one with a dagger long kept in reserve in a fit of rage while rolling around the floor in spite of leaving cuts on her back, screaming and crying uncontrollably. Reduced to this feral state, she was completely lost within her own madness. She was no longer the composed, calculated, and methodical revolutionist she once was, having suffered a complete mental breakdown.

Seeing a cord slipping and coiling around her ankle, Summer tried to warn Emily to stop, but in her complete and utter derangement, Emily did not heed to her warning and accidentally hacked the final cord holding her up. As she inevitably fell, she grazed Petersen with her blade, cutting open her groin. While she could have used her powers to save herself, her rage was such that she only wanted to hurt Petersen, and even as she fell, she refused to admit defeat. Kicking and slashing at the air, the impossibly unruly child plunged over eighty meters to her death, causing a great explosion upon hitting the ground as the convoluted energy of the Orb once welded to her identity was rendered free, releasing a light green wind which briefly encompassed the entire school. Despite the near-fatal injury she maintained, Summer Petersen had secured absolute victory for the forces of goodness, and Steven Thompson quickly recovered from the duel and grabbed ahold of her, but then Nobility Magic manifested itself through the sacrifice of the Organa twins, mending damage done to the school and reviving several fallen members of the Armies of Organa. However, they were all shocked to leave the school campus and discover the scale of destruction that Emily had inflicted on Utah. Nevertheless, she was forever unable to realize her dark vision for men and women alike. All in all, she had learned the hard way that pride literally comes before a fall. With that, Emily Watson's nightmarish reign of terror died with her.[2]

Legacy[]

File:Emily as a vision.png

A vision of Emily appeared to Summer Petersen.

"The Girl-Team assets are heading to a better place, but it'll take a long time to restore itself to its former glory. If it ever happens at all…"
―Helen McKeen[src]

Notwithstanding the ultimate defeat of Emily Watson, Steven Thompson, Josh Hogan, and Summer Petersen all heeded Watson's childlike wisdom about the social and political ramifications of gender diversity, and so they gave the Orb to the Stellar Corps and ushered in a new egalitarian age where men and women were united as never before, making Watson's apparent dream of seeing women living in a new productive and prosperous unity a reality. With Watson dead, the School War had ended, the Girl-Team had become neutral once more, and in its place stood a new era of peace.

Despite receiving her comeuppance, however, Watson's actions had changed civilization forever. The acclaimed Internet website she had founded, Unity of Queens, became independent with Angela Grace as its new webmaster. By luring the Supreme Commander into opening the guard shafts and thereby causing the Orb to flourish, she was also indirectly responsible for a shift in the universe's energy that caused the reemergence of the mutated elements lost in the untold horrors of the Imperial Period. In spite of everything, the death of Emily Watson hardly diluted the horrific effects of her bloody revolution, with her actions causing a major shift in public opinion towards the Armies of Organa, with the blame of the destruction that escaped memory wipes attributed to the Boy-Team. Major changes occurred in the fabric of Tower Placement School; any students who attempted to foil this were arrested and charged with treason. The assets of the Girl-Team she had so corrupted, while struggling to return to normal, would not soon be repaired.[2]

Though Emily Watson was dead, a number of Girl Team holdouts remained that the Armies of Organa would have to deal with throughout the next decade, particularly the Cavaliers of Thornton. Some of Emily Watson's former loyalists escaped death and, led by the far more idealized veteran Natalia Thornton, fought on against the boys. Additionally, the remains of Dellen became a tourist attraction, so Watson managed to luckily give some good impressions from her life as a fanatical megalomaniac with a goddess complex in spite of what all she did. Her efficiency must have been commended in some capacity, however, as a Utahn drink was named "Watson's Fire" in her honor. Petersen was still haunted by the ghost of her faux mentor, as Petersen had been plagued by on-and-off visions of Watson, tearing open Thompson's backside with her stolen laser sword. Even four years later, her post-traumatic stress from Watson's actions still lingered in her subconscious and caused her great distress, even appearing to her in nightmarish hallucinations.[5] The School War, as the largest conflict ever during its day, still had consequences that lasted through the ages. It resulted in a distrust of ambitious children by many, in weakening the nation.[7][8][9]

Physical description[]

Emily Watson-ROTS-promo

Despite her juvenile attractiveness and short stature, Emily Watson commanded a presence about her.

Emily Watson

Emily Watson's twisted and deformed visage served as a reminder of the price that she paid for unlimited power.

"Your revolutionary leader Emily Watson, clever and beautiful, annexed the system for our noble cause!"
―Alison Carroway[src]

Emily Watson had medium-length auburn hair which she brushed with an unusual consistency and a heart-shaped face, with a thin nose, and prominent cheekbones, with a foreboding yet girlish tone to her young face. Her lips are a bit too full for her slim jawline. After fusing with the Orb in the Red Battlements, her visage became significantly deformed during the closing weeks of the School War, with a hook nose, yellow eyes with black slits, and a heavy, protruding jaw. Serving as a reminder of her own weakness and mortality, as well as the price that she paid for power according to Josh Hogan, the change further enriched her intimidating persona and there was no indication that she was disturbed by it. She was described by Steven Thompson as being "no fairy princess", but we have received no non-Boy-Team descriptions of her. She was usually seen in the same pink collared button-up shirt and a like colored skirt held by a double-ringed black leather belt around her slim waist. She usually wore black lace-less slip-on boots coming up to just below knee level with rounded toe and a smooth appearance with a medium gloss shine. Her boots did not have any buckles or adornments.

Personality and traits[]

"I can't believe I trusted you! You've ranted who knows how many times about unity, but this isn't unity, it's insanity!"
―Helen McKeen to Emily Watson[src]

Born with nothing except for a terrifying familial background, Emily Watson grew up to be narcissistic and confident, being best defined by her lack of empathy and lack of desire for gender equality. She relentlessly drilled herself toward perfection and settled for nothing less from herself or those who served her. She believed that power and domination were the defining traits of strength, and as such would only help others if she thought there was some personal gain at stake. She had absolute confidence in her purpose. While her whole personality apparently revolved around her quintessential misandry, she perfectly understood how testosterone makes men think and act and was extremely cunning and manipulative, able to skillfully deceive numerous people multiple times by lacing elements of truth into her lies. She harbored neither pity nor mercy for those she marked as treasonous or inferior, as she even murdered her own brother and even threatened to destroy a baby with her flamethrower if Steven Thompson did not activate the shafts around the Orb, and threw Cade Hogan directly into the Black Queen's embrace even after Steven agreed to her demands, describing it as letting loose to indulge in the joyful sensations of petty villainy. A mark of her decisiveness and ruthlessness was that Watson took no unnecessary prisoners, preferring to kill them instead. She has proven that it is not below her to kill her enemies in cold blood to prove her reputation has been earned. She even makes jokes about it: After capturing two Boy-Team spies and sending them to deliver her challenge to Steven Thompson, she asked Cera Lewis how many men it takes to deliver a message. Lewis then drew her gun and replied, "One," and Watson told her to kill one of them, which she did. As one who wanted nothing less than absolute control, she likewise had remarkable control of herself, seemingly able to react to any situation at a moment's notice without losing her composure.

Watson was intelligent, but could be easily distracted, and had a fierce and dangerous temper, a trait that she shared with her brother Michael. She was egomaniacal, employed the use of dark humor as well as figure of speech, and suffered from intense delusions of grandeur, stubbornly refusing to see herself as evil, and believing that girls were highly superior to boys and thus deserved far better.

Though Watson was refined, confident, and borderline psychopathic in her behavior and mannerisms, she did retain some insecurity. As a result of dedicating her life to conquest, she had developed a considerable amount of social ineptitude, particularly in her uncertainty of how to act around boys, and she frequently intimidated them during conversations. She was able to openly relate to Ludwig Beethoven II's hardships and, to an extent, Helen McKeen's agnostic morals. She was even affectionate towards McKeen, venting her excitement to her, side-hugging her, and teaching her how to duel. She also expressed concern for Summer Petersen's well-being even after she betrayed her, even though she still had her arrested with the others. Watson never attempted to kill anyone without purpose, especially during her time with McKeen, but following her betrayal Watson for all her confidence was driven into a rage moved to strike her down and later gleefully laughed while temporarily strangling her and lashing out with her feet several times in attempts to break her jaw and catch her off-guard, going to show just how much McKeen's betrayal drove her off the edge and hinting at just how unstable she would later prove to be. This betrayal affected her so much that she lost her normally cool demeanor, as evident when she later fought in the Battle in the Red Battlements. She was erratic and maniacal, clearly trying to vent her feelings by trying to kill Charles Hugh.

File:Angry Emily Watson.jpg

Emily Watson's subtle demeanor was shattered by the unanticipated betrayal of Helen McKeen and later by the destruction of the Orc Devil.

After being betrayed by Helen McKeen, Emily Watson's mentality continued to crumble in the final months of the war. When she attacked Charles Hugh and Steven Thompson at the Red Battlements, she was evidently losing her sanity, as her attacks became far more vicious and she was seemingly convinced that setting Cade Hogan on fire was a good thing. The baby's older brother, Josh Hogan, speculated that she was also aggravated to admit how much McKeen had completed her, and that her growing power was making her reckless and borderline insane to the point she was not sleeping well, as she frequently had dark spots under her eyes and her hair was always a mess. The tipping point crumbled when the Orc Devil, who had mistakenly called her a true friend, fell and Watson was finally forced to admit that the Orc Devil had been using her and that she must not have been the borderline genius she already was, opting to follow through with her plan to open up the Orb and use the Armies of Organa as a funnel to wipe every man off of the face of the Eight Worlds. Furthermore, despite having never learned the truth about the Black Queen, Watson's suspicion that the Orc Devil had been an extension of a far greater power had been thoroughly valid.

Although she was very satisfied by her apparently absolute victory over both Utah and the Boy-Team, she was livid asking herself repeatedly and out loud how she was going to explain the reality of the Orb-powered Haven of the Pure without exposing the Godslayer's identity when Stephanie Fiennes and Kate both approached her. Fiennes complimented her, saying that she always had such beautiful eyes, though Watson dismissed the compliment and asked the Assistant CEO why she was there. When Fiennes told her she was looking forward to seeing what she and the Godslayer were planning, Watson told her not to pretend to "give two bloody dams" and that she and the Godslayer had been working on anything together at all. Looking more amused than saddened, Kate told her she wasn't who she thought she was and that she and Fiennes were only there to help. Watson could not cope with this and threw a glass container at Fiennes' head, reducing her to tears and indirectly causing to the Godslayer's arrest, before breaking down crying herself.

Kate's claims were supported by the fact that her worsening stability was to the point where most everyone she came across had come to anticipate all of her potential tricks, with Summer Petersen openly mocking this attitude leading to her last fatal mistake. Watson’s miserable childhood seemed to have furthered her mental decline further still. Another thread of this argument explored the possibility that although she was fully capable of acting cruelly, especially towards males of any kind without showing any outright regret, deep down a part of her could tell what she did was wrong and felt regret over it but it was just her indomitable will and emotional control that prevented her from showing it for many years by her aforementioned indomitable will. Having someone like Cara Mota seeking after her and assuming she only wanted her help to "kick the Godslayer's butt" only made her want to arrange to have Mota Corporation destroyed from the inside out, and after injuring Fiennes, Watson collapsed and sobbed deeply before regaining any semblance of control and telling Ludwig Beethoven II she was ready not only for the meeting but for the doom of Fiennes and her cause.

File:Emily speaks to Stephanie and Cera.jpg

Visibly deranged and broken, Watson responded to compassion with barely pent-up homicidal anticipation as her sanity began to unravel.

Watson showed up at the meeting impatient and with her hair even messier than usual and with several bald patches, though the event was interrupted when the Boy-Team arrived, very much liberated and battle-ready. When locked in combat with Summer Petersen, the girl quickly deduced just how insane and predictable she had become, with her openly mocking this attitude being what caused Watson to take a severe misstep that ultimately ended her permanently.

Despite her misgivings, Watson was an efficient leader, and the Girl-Team was kept together out of loyalty, not fear. When speaking to her, they spoke casually as if speaking to a friend rather than to a brutish leader who was a threat to their lives. This also proved she had an incredibly strong influence on others. Still, she was the cruelest of them all, always eager to inflict pain on enemies and her family members. For example, when Captain Betsy failed to solve a code she had been entrusted with, Watson had her pet eat the former alive. Additionally, Helen McKeen harbored a deep hatred for her friend after she betrayed her, and like her, Steven Thompson and Summer Petersen quickly became convinced she only wanted to weld herself to the Orb to gain more power, and that her carelessness would result in the Eight Worlds being destroyed. And while they and Petersen especially were mostly right on her being deep down a self-centered and deranged megalomaniac who wants to be a goddess that rules the star system and enslave all life to her will in her new order that she recreates upon the destruction of the old, even Petersen realizes that many of Watson's teachings were right and really, Watson was still the only one fixing an issue no one seemed to notice and realized, for all of Watson's inward-looking thoughts and deeds and cruel desires, she was still going to unite women under her rule and they will coexist in her new order. While her extremism is mostly drowned out by her delusions and her sadism, Watson also possessed patience and serenity where it was necessary, the better to achieve her vision.

It was also shown that Watson had at least some level of standards, though often for pragmatic reasons. She is against villainous men such as Adolf Hitler, Mr. Stupid NoHead, Osama bin Laden, or Joe Biden who are all mass murderers prototypical of the patriarchy who have done unspeakable things that were and are severely tyrannical towards the free peoples. She also thinks some things are simply too unrealistic to be undertaken, especially a theoretical infiltration of the Royal Palace of the Magistrate. Furthermore, she has standards about a couple of men whom she rationally considers exceptions to her prejudice, namely Ludwig Beethoven II and Abraham Lincoln. However, this all goes moot in the Coup of Utah as Emily has no qualms in infiltrating the equally well-guarded state capitol, leaving Beethoven II alone in an office in the Red Battlements in spite of the current danger, and unleashing the Orb for her true plot to make the cosmos everything she had always wanted it to be, showing that she and her standards are hypocritical in nature. This was further showcased when she berated the members of the Syndicate of Light for indulging a peal of villainous laughter, only for herself to engage as such while dueling Steven Thompson as her back was hunched and the crazed little girl was swaying derangedly.

Overall, despite her good intentions and redemptive qualities, Emily Watson threw it all aside and allowed her lust for power to consume her, making her no better than the threats (especially the Dark Lord and Hitler) that she opposed. She is more than willing to kill tens of billions of males, including children, simply out of her hunger for dominance. Moreover, she happily caused great harm to Salt Lake City, despite the fact that Adrienne Clancy trusted her very much, and she would not hesitate to kill and exploit her closest allies or even her own family all for the sake of power and control. All this makes Emily Watson by far the most personal and hated enemy the Armies of Organa have ever gone up against.

Motivations and convictions[]

"Feminism is not about us convincing people that they should only invest in gender equality because there could be something in it for them, or for Mommy or Bae. The question is, what's in it for intelligent life? When children become not only safer to walk the streets, but happier in general, adults become more productive and we all have a chance to actually be ourselves. True partnerships become the norm, and better yet, pop culture gains an unbelievable degree of diversity as business and political insights skyrocket, and all the ingenious and innovative ideas of our society escape the tips of feminine tongues. Very soon, the current tyrannical patriarchal regime will be replaced by a fair-minded government which balances race, gender, and even power status! Our women have declared it will happen, and such shall it be! You and your fellow ladies no longer need live fearing masculine force, or fearing in and of itself! It's time to take back the Eight Worlds!"
―Emily Watson[src]

In her youth, Emily read a lot of history, knowledge of the countless atrocities committed by humanity. It also occurred to her that most of the humans she'd heard of were male. She saw Steven Thompson, who had been forced to kill her mother, as the best example of this. She began to focus more on how much boys annoyed her, until her hatred for an entire gender turned her vehemently against all boys. Although she notably seems to have nothing against males who serve the Girl-Team, she has higher expectations for them and would react with fury when said expectations were not being met. Watson equates peace as beginning a new age of the Earth, which she intended to do by turning the Girl-Team into a faction that would wipe out the male gender and thereafter used diplomacy to solve world problems and brute force if it was needed, and gradually gained influence until world peace had been achieved among a utopia where only women lived. She believed everything lost during the School War happened for the greater good.

Watson also fiercely believes Natalia Thornton's ideals that nature's well being depended on more and more people adhering to the doctrine that an action is right insofar as it promotes happiness, and that the greatest happiness of the greatest number should be the guiding principle of conduct, for such is the natural order of things. She resolved to harness the Orb to help women who desperately needed it. Watson is also the one who, however unknowingly, convinced the Black Queen to spare and subjugate humanity rather than destroy it, although it no longer mattered following her secret proxy's destruction over Pleasant Grove. Watson's ruthless and brutal pursuit of enforcing tradition and societal unity on the world was very similar to what Thornton wanted to do once males were eliminated, as they planned to bring utopia by letting females have all the earth to themselves.

However, Watson took Thornton's philosophy a few steps farther, since she believed in forcing women to honor each other with herself as the oligarchical female authority. This is a stark contrast to Thornton's convictions, as, while misandrist, she prioritized personal liberty for women, and did not believe in forcing anyone to follow a dictator anywhere. Unlike Thornton (who believed masculinity itself as a political authority), Watson planned to become her own singular seat of power after fusing with the Orb, as she needed the Orb's power to shape the star system as she wanted. Thornton would later call Watson's goals for welding the Orb to her own identity "selfish", as Watson intended to alter the plan after lying through her teeth to her followers. Regardless, Watson, in her egregious delusions, viewed her actions as a necessary means to an end that would accomplish the greater good, stubbornly refusing to see herself as evil, believing her plans will ultimately benefit the cosmos, as she saw herself as the next logical step in evolution and therefore advancing her own goals and, in doing so, her own power, was efficiently protecting the Earth from itself. She also dismisses the idea of the Girl-Team being corrupted into a supervillain organization several times, despite the fact that she corrupted numerous children to help the Techno Drones wreak havoc; even the heinous Adrienne Clancy rightfully chews out Emily for her denial over it.

Watson developed an affinity over people's belief in a deity, likened herself as such, and made references to the Bible. Her goddess-complex served to influence her schemes, such as her fear regarding the instantaneous results of a meteor or a famine destroying life on Earth. She described how the dinosaurs needed to make way for the next stage - humanity - via an extinction-level event and that she was convinced the Gods would throw a plague at humanity as soon as their perceived laziness increased to the extent that they were no longer changing as a race. This dedication to constant evolution resulted in Watson fearing death, and due to believing that males would inevitably doom humanity, she sought to surpass this by turning herself into an indestructible goddess-like being that would improve the Earth and, hopefully, bring about lasting peace. Inevitably, she would kill anyone who got in her way or disobeyed her, unless they were directly affiliated with her. For example, she had no qualms about murdering Betsy for her incompetence or Toli for her sentiment, showing how hypocritical she is in her lust for power.

Powers[]

"Too bad you didn't do your homework, kid! Then you'd be able to understand the Orb and draw power from it, too!"
―Emily Watson[src]
  • Orb Empowerment: When powered by the full might of the Orb, Watson was granted several new superhuman capabilities, including enhanced strength, durability, speed, agility, stamina, reflexes, nigh-immortality. Hence, she could universally enhance her own physical capabilities - this enabled her naturally athletic and acrobatic attributes, which are considerable in their own right, to become superhuman, shown during her duel in the Red Battlements, where she faultlessly dueled Thompson, McKeen, and Charles Hugh, maintaining the upper hand throughout the entire clash and only losing because she had never used the Orb's mystical energy before. She even showed herself capable of moving at superhuman speed, lunging at Steven from about forty-five feet away in a blur. Carrying the blood of the Thunder Queen in her veins, she could naturally align herself with the Orb's energy.
    • Cosmic Ergokinesis: Despite only having energy-warping abilities for a short time and being self-taught, Emily Watson displays high proficiency in the art. Due to having much of the Orb welded to her identity, her body has become capable of passively absorbing most forms of energy and transforming it into her signature cosmic energy, which she can then use in a variety of ways, summoning this energy at will. Emily can envelope herself within her energy, which emits itself as a glowing green aura surrounding her. This greatly increases Emily's physical attributes, such as her strength and durability, as well as her energy blast, and gave her the ability to fly at incredible speeds. Emily can also utilize the Orb's cosmic energy to regulate the functional usage of a mechanized appliance as well as modulate their energy output. This is usually accommodated by a flare-up of her cosmic energies whenever she uses her powers to their fullest ability. Her energy could also cause interference and power surges in nearby technology, as was exemplified by what unlocking her full power did to Tower Placement School, causing the lights to flicker in harrowing ways. Also, Emily can accumulate her energy into her hands to increase the damage behind her blows. She can use ergokinesis to augment her dueling prowess, and is quite skilled at directly attacking opponents with kinetic energy-bolstered strikes. She can also shoot energy beams out of her hands and can even fashion her cosmic energy into dense powerful blasts strong enough to pulverize concrete and metal or lighter blasts which only send opponents flying away into the air. She used one such blast to knock Mr. Danny down, which left him momentarily unconscious.
    • Death Inducement: Emily can emit a field around the High Rider that kills every living thing that is nearby, deciding men would be what died and women would be what lived, unleashing an omni-directional wall of green energy.
    • Flight: While enveloping herself with cosmic energy, Emily can fly, glide and float through the air without outside help. She can fly at incredible speed, allowing her to take off into the atmosphere and land safely on the planet's surface with ease. She can also maneuver with great precision in any direction, as well as float in one place. She demonstrated that the power of flight enabled her to make fast and agile movements, and she was also able to make ergokinetic attacks while airborne.
    • Remote Motion Manipulation: Emily can move the fragments of the High Rider and induce the broken fragments to fuse back together but to develop a completely different ability, being to unleash an omni-directional laser wall, converging upon the state of Utah and creating an expanding field of green energy capable of killing dozens of men whilst passing harmlessly over women.
    • Telepathy: With the Orb empowering her, Watson was able to easily probe the minds of others.
    • Conjuration: Emily can summon objects to do her bidding, which was shown once when she made cords out of thin air that immediately bound and gagged Summer Petersen.
    • Concealment: Watson could also hide her presence. Opposers were usually unable to pierce this concealment, although it was still possible for a skilled warrior to detect her if they knew what to look for. McKeen, for instance, managed to sense her location after having previously been made aware she was somewhere in Thunder Quarters.

Abilities[]

  • Peak-human condition: Emily Watson epitomizes versatility in many ways, making her a child prodigy. She was in excellent shape, as her intense workouts and intricate dieting have both naturally heightened her abilities to the highest levels of human potential at a very young age, hence compensating for her short stature, slender build, and meager age by being remarkably acrobatic in combat, shown during her duel in the Red Battlements, where she faultlessly dueled Thompson, McKeen, and Charles Hugh, maintaining the upper hand throughout the entire clash, by maintaining phenomenally precise and effective footwork and even acrobatic feats to quickly gain the high ground on her opponents. During that bout, her reflexes even allowed her to effortlessly kick Hugh away before he could react. While the Orb was empowering her, she would have needed to already be a formidable athlete on her own merits.
    • Peak-human strength: Watson's strength allows her to physically overpower combatants and even perform a planche, supporting her body in a horizontal position just by using her arms, with little effort.
    • Peak-human agility: Watson's athletic prowess grants her exceptional agility, coordination, and balance while fighting and evading others. She is incredibly nimble and agile, and has demonstrated high levels of agility and dexterity, as she was able to run up walls and perform midair twirls.
    • Peak-human speed: Watson's nimble body allows her to move at remarkable speeds, being able to easily kick Charles Hugh aside after he had caught her off-guard and attacked him before he could attack her again.
  • Master combatant: Emily Watson was an extremely skilled and vastly experienced duelist. She was the Girl-Team’s strongest combatant and instructor. She was also extremely competent at deflecting projectile weapons. She also had some skill with hidden weaponry, as she intended on using a small knife during the Liberation of Utah.
    • Master martial artist: Emily Watson was an extremely skilled and formidable hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist, having self-trained from an extremely young age, making her one of the most dangerous fighters in the star system. She has efficiently taken down many enemies. She battled Summer Petersen at a docking hangar near Andy Ballard Arena, although Petersen's fury forced Watson to resort to sneaking up on her and grabbing her in a headlock to dominate her. In spite of her young age, she was fully capable of training Helen McKeen in combat skills and fighting techniques. The remarkably versatile little girl employs a mixed martial art including elements of muay Thai, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Judo, kickboxing, and aikido.
    • Swordplay: Despite her specialization in Brosartt, Emily Watson maintained a working knowledge of all the other stils, and was competent enough with them to instruct Helen McKeen in their use. Though styles like Grund, Chimiki, and Kchendo were more practical in the age of electronics and firearms, her competitive spirit drove her toward the eighth Stil of fencing, Brosartt. She exclusively utilized Brosartt in combat, believing that duelists who devoted themselves to the study of multiple combat forms would never attain the same level of mastery as ones who devoted themselves to a single style. In addition, she appreciated the limited acrobatics that the style possessed, not wasting her energy and only delivering the cruelest blows. Despite having trained McKeen, and she herself was a strong proponent of using a single blade in combat, Watson believed that Brosartt was somewhat garish. Her skill in Stil VIII was such that she could hold her own against up to four opponents with little difficulty shown during the Liberation of Utah, as Brosartt was well suited for combat against multiple opponents. She was one of a very few practitioners of Brosartt at the time.
    • Staff mastery: Emily Watson is highly skilled at using sticks and staffs in combat, her retractable electric L-9 baton being her preferred weapon. In combat, she used her staff work to redirect and deflect, rather than attempting to meet her opponent head on. She fended off enemies with a minimal expenditure of energy before unleashing rapid and devastating counters, and was known to attack with a fencing-style thrust. Watson relied heavily on her footwork to outmaneuver her enemy, basing herself on balance, back-and-forth charges, and sudden retreats. This is particularly shown in her myriad of battles with Steven Thompson, with whom she easily remained the superior warrior.
    • Master marksman: Emily was an extremely skilled marksman, making several headshots at Boy-Team members in quick succession during the Liberation of Utah.
    • Psychological Warfare: Emily Watson fancied a fully non-mutated tactic that focused on disrupting an opponent’s concentration by the use of psychological warfare. She attempted to use this on Thompson in their rematch. However, each time she applied it, it backfired, and she only encouraged Thompson to draw on his anger. The first instance of this resulted in Watson’s defeat, although she survived the battle. Her second attempt during her climactic duel with Thompson and subsequent final duel with Petersen atop Tower Placement School was nearly successful. Unfortunately for Watson, it too backfired, as her taunts only encouraged both enemies to fall into a rage and force Watson to revert to her Orb empowerment, though it could not save her.
  • Master acrobat: Emily was an extremely skilled gymnast, acrobat, and aerialist, often incorporating gymnastics and acrobatics into her fighting style as she fought opponents. She had numerous complex maneuvers and feats throughout her battles, even performing a planche once with very minimal effort.
  • Genius intellect: Emily Watson is vastly intelligent, especially for someone her age, being a genius mastermind. She was also a highly studious girl. Since childhood, she was well-versed in the star system's military history. She also displayed incredible fighting prowess in learning the fighting styles of her foes. Her intellectualism extends primarily to her skills in deception, manipulation, leadership, oration, and hegemony.
    • Master tactician: Watson is a fearsome strategist, orchestrating several fights during the School War that could not be reliably traced back to her, including the kidnapping of Eegan Grover, even though the Black Queen was helping her utilize these ideas, and of her own accord having Adrienne Clancy use her moles so Watson would have what she needed in order to control Utah from in the shadows. This coup was single-handedly orchestrated by her, winning Utah for her cause. She was also well-versed in terrorist tactics. Even under the effects of her mental illness, her wit and ability to strategize were not completely lost.
    • Master deceiver: Somewhat ironically despite practically embodying misandry, Watson is able to expertly deceive her male enemies by cunningly working in the shadows, and deceive her female allies by intricately lacing elements of truth into her lies. She was also able to conceal her maniacal and bloodthirsty personality consistently even under the heat of battle.
    • Master manipulator: Even at kindergarten age, Emily was already an expert in the field of manipulation, allowing her to gain numerous valuable allies in high places to further her own unpopular goal of absolute conquest.
    • Master demagogue: Emily is a superbly skilled demagogic genius, as her intention is to come off as an altruistic humanist of and for the people, so she therefore masterfully appeals to popular desires and prejudices when addressing people, often championing the cause of the common (female) people, with her usage of seemingly rational arguments making Emily's method even more effective. As an activist, she has been widely noted for her uncanny skills as an orator.
    • Expert leader: Watson effectively led the Girl-Team for an entire year, establishing people such as Cera Lewis and Adrienne Clancy in places of power to ensure her will was done efficiently.
    • Master political scientist: Emily has a phenomenal understanding of political science, such as the inner workings and intended goals of both political structures and intelligence agencies.
    • Expert networker: Emily has a vast network of followers and international contacts around the United States of America, to the point that she was known for knowing all that happens, including several plans concocted by the Armies of Organa during the School War. Additionally, Emily's contacts allowed her to provide safe-houses for her allies, especially when she provided a very obscure yet productive locale for Longfellow to lie low with his fellow nomads. However, while this did usually made Emily well-informed, her contacts network was not always a perfect source of information.
  • Master equestrian: Emily is an accomplished horseback rider, riding her lioness into battle.
  • Indomitable willpower: Watson has tremendous perseverance and strength of will, which makes her an extremely formidable enemy for anyone to have, as a woman who absolutely refuses to ever give ground and succumb to seemingly overwhelming odds.

Weaknesses[]

  • Arrogance: Emily Watson's greatest weakness (ironically much like for the Godslayer) is her overconfidence and arrogance, with Watson believing that since she has leverage over everyone she wishes to control, that this makes her supremely powerful.
  • Irresponsibility: Watson's fatal flaw is her inability to accept she is at fault in any way and take responsibility. She deludes herself to be a righteous woman whose every action is justified, romanticizes her genocidal conquest by citing men as being harbingers for rape and warfare and being malignant whereas women are usually superficially belignant in her eyes, and blames her egregious mental illness on the superficial weakness of the men who allegedly have far too much power and are seemingly forcing her to be psychologically unstable. Her complete lack of sense of accountability is what leads Watson to turn down the various chances at redemption she is given throughout the School War and stubbornly stick to her misguided ways, presumably damning her own soul in the process.
  • Mental illness: Emily Watson's bigoted and twisted nature, combined with her very rough childhood, and combined further still with believing she had lost everyone she could ever realistically have the capacity to care for, drove her closer and closer to the brink of insanity, so on her dying day her obsession for Steven Thompson's head has left her completely insane and unreasonable, making her completely uncaring of all laws, with or without the political puppeteer known as the Magistrate in the picture, as well as shortsighted as she is blinded by her thirst for blood (even after Thompson just spared her life and Petersen just apologized for deceiving her), which ultimately leads to her accidental death.

Possessions[]

Weapons[]

  • Flamethrower: Emily Watson wielded a flamethrower, first in the cafeteria. She also used it to incapacitate Summer Petersen at Andy Ballard Arena and again in Maryland and attempted to do the same to Steven Thompson, though he was able to block it during both events. She also used it to torture Cade Hogan to blackmail Thompson. Watson would unleash fire on numerous other occasions.
  • L-9 Baton: Emily Watson wielded a baton that was resistant to laser sword strikes. At the start of the School War, she would brandish the baton against Steven Thompson and Summer Petersen. Watson brought down her archenemy with light - though damaging - slashes across his right arm and leg, while Petersen's fury forced Watson to resort to first destroy one of her opponent's weapons then revert back to her infamous flamethrower. Watson was subsequently confronted by Vincent Organa, who engaged Watson in a titanic duel. The Kraton's might forced Watson to retreat. Its last usage was the revolutionary's battle with her former friend Helen McKeen. Watson wielded the baton aggressively, but was ultimately put down by McKeen's feint due to her own recklessness. While Watson managed to survive, the baton was taken by McKeen and later disposed of while Steven Thompson watched somberly.
  • Laser sword: Emily Watson procured a laser sword after she was deprived of her baton. She used it during her final confrontation with Steven Thompson.
  • Walther PPK: Watson carried a small, semi-operated pistol around ever since she took it off the corpse of Renae Alvarez-Chapman.
  • Knife: Watson kept a knife hidden under her belt for backup purposes.

Other equipment[]

"What've you been up to?"
"Reading (and then burning) books and scrolls about the other countries, their cultures and their weaknesses. What? You don’t get to be a hegemonic prodigy at 12 by just being physically strong.
"
―Helen McKeen and Emily Watson[src]
  • Orb: The Orb was a spherical mass of plasma particles that Emily Watson imbued with the potential genetic information of women to be used in conjunction with her pet project. She intended to fuse with it to make herself all-powerful, but never got away with this due to Summer Petersen inadvertently killing her first.
  • Skater: Watson had a skater as her secondary form of transportation (the primary one being Spearhead).
  • Boy Book: Emily Watson kept a spiral yellow notebook which she deemed "The Boy Book" just before the Battle of Draper. It was the Boy Book that allowed Helen McKeen to discover that Emily's actual plan was to annihilate the male gender and usher in a new age of cosmic evolution, leading her to doubt Emily's cause and redeem herself. Seeing this, Emily tore the Boy Book up page by page and ground up the pieces in the manor's garbage disposal.
  • Literary collection: Watson had a tendency to read books and scrolls about the other countries, their cultures and their weaknesses, and set them on fire so no one else could annex their knowledge.
  • Everybody Wants to Change the Eight Worlds: Emily wrote this book as a collection of her feminist speeches, with the earnings being donated to charity.
  • The Gender Book: Emily began penning this nonfiction, which she never finished due to her untimely death.
  • Queens on the Run: The Climate Established by Men: Emily wrote a lengthy blog about her gender views, which despite some controversy caused her to skyrocket in popularity.

Facilities[]

  • Thunder Quarters: Emily Watson dwelt in this grim manor since she was a baby.
  • Pink Depot: Watson originally operated in the Pink Depot, originally as a normal member and eventually as its authority.
  • Red Battlements: Watson operated in the Red Battlements for a time and often visited the headquarters’ dungeons to inspect them and taunt the prisoners.
  • Andy Ballard Arena: Emily Watson used this place as a rally site once.

Relationships[]

Family[]

"It was Father's choice. I never made him do anything. I just provided him with the information for which to root his decision."
―Emily Watson[src]

Emily never liked her father William Watson, who had always deemed her as little and frequently scorned any moments of unkindness or disrespect while offering very minimal positive reinforcement, even when she was very little. She eventually ruined his career on purpose so he would stay home and present her with shallow gifts, which he himself believed he was doing to convince both her and himself that he loved her and her older brother equally. After Emily fused with the Orb and lost the apocalyptic battle that cost her her life, William accepted his daughter's ambitions as monstrous and affirmed that he would not miss her at all. Nevertheless, she was subconsciously massively jealous that Michael managed to have what she believed she was never able to gain and craved from William: a father's love and acceptance.

Michael is aware that Emily doesn't like or appreciate him, but to her sick amusement, he still cares and looks after her. Emily harbored some jealousy towards her brother, but she at least still had a begrudging respect for him. Ironically, she was frequently disrespectful towards Michael, which sometimes caused her older brother to lose his patience with her. Despite openly opposing her in the war, Michael still failed to foresee Emily's treachery until it was too late, when Emily dueled him with her infamous flamethrower and she briefly lapsed on her calm demeanor as she executed devastating blows on her brother, grinning somewhat maniacally as he parried her attacks. Deep down, Emily cared for him, but his different views on life and the nature of their upbringing and the subsequent bitterness, anger and jealousy from both sides not only made them incapable of coexisting but made Michael refuse to reciprocate her subconscious and secret affection for him. She even realized this when she gleefully seized the opportunity to murder him in cold blood, which Emily showed no external regret over, as she kept telling herself he hated her and that was it. Furthermore, she never mentioned her deceased sibling in conversations.

The only pride Emily ever took on her family was that she inherited the blood of the Thunder Queen, regarding her as her 'noble matriarch'.

Allies[]

Valiera-TRON

Valiera Nelson, a potential friend of hers.

Emily Watson had several valuable allies in high places, and aside from that, she was also a member of Valiera Nelson's posse. Watson was not seen commonly hanging around Valiera, though she was spotted amongst Valiera's friends, making a vulgar joke about rice and corn splattered on the floor that Charles Hugh found funny. It is unknown how Watson feels about Nelson, but she does seem to extend a courteous nod of sincere positivity to her in the very least.

The Syndicate of Light[]

In preparation for her bloodless coup, Emily Watson assembled a deliberative body of twelve extremely corrupt high-ranking officials in the Girl-Team and the U.S. Government to create a plan for the future of the Eight Worlds and improve teamwork and coordination, which were in many ways new to the proud women who worked for the government. Their responsibilities were as diverse as their membership. The Syndicate of Light was unsettled by Emily's command style, which remained reactive despite her growing responsibility and maturity. Nevertheless, they generally admired her for her initiative and unquestioned authority. One such member was Cera Lewis. In her early years, Cera had created a very close bond with Emily, and as the School War began in 2021, Cera’s embodiment between light and darkness made Cera very favorable in Emily’s eyes. Emily held her in high favor, even making her a member of the Syndicate of Light and allowing her to use a laser sword against the Boy-Team. After the war, it became clear that Cera would do anything to continue the Girl-Team cause. Emily also had a crucial ally in Adrienne Clancy, a prominent governor who saw her as a golden opportunity to seize great power. Another member, Longfellow, was very loyal to Emily, frequently showing that he was fairly in line with her goals. This was due to Longfellow's survivalist nature, belief in the horrible things he is doing (both of which were similar to Emily) and his antagonism and disrespect to Steven Thompson, whom he tried to hinder or thwart on several occasions. She granted him many powers by posting new lists of rules periodically. However, Longfellow was never actually part of Emily Watson's ring of Girl-Team members, although it appears that due to several factors. Longfellow seemed to be unaware of Emily's dark and sadistic nature. In return, Emily supported Longfellow only because of how useful he was to prolonging her conquest, and felt no true attachments to the misguided worm. However, Emily kept her inner circle in the dark regarding her unpopular objective to have ultimate power, intending to force the members to reorganize as the ruling council of civilization, which thankfully never happened thanks to her ultimate defeat during Utah's concurrent liberation.

The Black Queen[]

File:BlackQueen Alpha 3.png

Emily found a valuable ally the Black Queen, even if she only ever knew her as "the Orc Devil".

The Orc Devil seemed to be the only person who Emily Watson viewed as her equal. It was no surprise, given her rivalry with her brother and her distant relationship with her father, that Emily gravitated toward the one person in her family who encouraged her as a child. Unfortunately, the person in question turned out to be cruel and sadistic, and the Orc Devil encouraged those traits in Emily as well. Furthermore, she had no idea that the Orc Devil was actually the Black Queen's vessel, as she never saw the time was right to enlighten her, and so she would never live to learn of the cumbersome yet sophisticated monster's true nature as a lithe cosmic divinity.

Emily's cruelty and sadism was only matched by her benefactor's. Soon after the Battle of Draper, the Black Queen did not resent her for retreating from Vincent Organa's extra-solar power and tasked her with kidnapping the extremely valuable hostage Eegan Grover. While she claimed to view Emily as a friend to her and the other spirits, Emily demonstrated her lack of loyalty to even her own benefactor; she was willing to lie, even to her, for her own ends. However, the betrayal of her best friend caused Emily's mind to deteriorate, which permanently affected her relationship with the Orc Devil.

Following Hilary's complete destruction, Emily was infuriated by the radical changes it brought, resulting in her complete descent into madness. After all, she was the one who convinced Emily that it is better to be feared than to be loved. Furthermore, the Black Queen never sought out another way to make contact with Emily or even reveal the truth to her at all; from this, it becomes quite evident that the Black Queen was not capable of real love and dispensed affection and favor to shape a vulnerable child to a tool that would respond to her will, even for her moderately loyal partner in crime, and that the Black Queen would never allow Emily to share her authority over the cosmos, and it even seemed, at least to Emily, that "the Orc Devil" may have some fear and shame of Emily's deep desire for power, which was not so far behind from her own. This shaped Emily's fears that she could not count on love or affection from anyone, no matter how close they seemed. Unable to trust others, she instead tried to dominate them through fear — a paranoia that ultimately drove her insane and cost her her own life following both the betrayal of her closest friends and her closest ally seemingly perishing forever over a burning city.

Ludwig Beethoven II[]

Ludwig Beethoven II, a dim-witted yet martially formidable boy in Emily's grade, was a close friend of Emily's at Tower Placement. He was fanatically loyal to her and showed great concern for her well-being. Even though Emily found his sense of humor to be annoying, she still appreciated both his company and his loyalty. Beethoven had been alone and friendless before Emily offered to befriend him, leading to him being unable to resist the chance to avenge half of the people that shunned him by proposing the Boy Trap. She never lived to learn that Helen had taken him out in single combat. It is unclear if they were ever romantically involved, but given how goal-oriented Emily was, and how young they both were, this is unlikely.

Enemies[]

"Then there's Luke Norris, balls of steel, left this on my handle."
―Emily[src]

Emily Watson was jealous of Luke Norris and tried to sabotage him in 2016, at which point they fought, with Luke leaving a notable scratch on her hilt to show for it. Six years later, Emily Watson still found him to be an intimidating person. Emily also seems to have had dealings with Cooper Miller in the past, as she was able to predict his means of threatening her after she cruelly trapped him on a rollercoaster in an amusement park. He hated her and yet, he feared her, seeing her as the embodiment of the enemy and despising her for being such a grave threat. Emily's opinion of Robert Iego is not revealed, and it is unlikely that she has ever interacted with him. However, given the fact that every reason she despised Jay Organa was for things Robert had in common with him, it can be assumed that Emily saw him as one of the biggest driving factors behind the might of the Armies of Organa, thanks to the wondrous weapons he crafted, and craved to bring about his demise.

Steven Thompson[]

Steven Thompson became Emily Watson's mortal enemy after she heard he had killed her mother. This escalated after Thompson moved into Tower Placement School, and later initiated the defense against the Girl-Team, and Watson considered him more of a threat than ever. In targeting Thompson, Watson unwittingly sowed the seeds of her own destruction.

Jay Organa realized that it was Steven Thompson’s abilities, combined with his capacity to love, that would empower him to defeat Watson. Unlike Thompson, who was mentally, emotionally, and spiritually intact, Watson was psychologically, spiritually, and emotionally shredded, feeling only arrogance, hatred, and greed, though both of them controlled their followers through respect and loyalty, and a shared cause. Despite their sharing several things in common, Organa insisted that they differed in one crucial way — Thompson loved his friends, while Watson loved only power and revenge.

Steven Thompson understood that, once again, it was also about choices: Watson’s actions regarding Thompson were based on vengeance and fear, while Thompson would choose to fight Watson for safety and the greater good. That choice, and the ability to make that choice, was largely what gave Thompson powers that Watson lacked and prevented Thompson from falling to evil.

Emily Watson became obsessed with Steven Thompson after she failed to kill the boy. Watson considered Thompson weak in comparison to herself and he always discounted how love’s power has aided Thompson. But after Steven Thompson defeated her in Washington D.C., Watson never attempted to turn him to evil, or draw his anger, again.

Helen McKeen[]

Hm

Helen McKeen, her former loyal friend turned enemy.

Emily Watson was very close to Helen McKeen, who in turn found her to be "charming, humorous, a Class-A genius". They met each other at a picnic. Emily joined the Girl-Team under Helen, who eventually trusted her enough to lead the Girl-Team. They had much in common, including the quest for peace through a self-righteous revolution and edgy ideals about the structure of a paradisiacal society. Helen's passion blinded her to Emily's psychopathic nature, but when Emily's actions leading the Girl-Team kickstarted the School War, Helen was clearly very uncomfortable, though she still served the organization loyally. Helen became inflamed by the way Emily equated peace as beginning a new age of the Earth, which she intended to do by turning the Girl-Team into a faction that used diplomacy to solve world problems and brute force if it was needed, and gradually gained influence until world peace had been achieved by force. Even as Emily caused considerable havoc on behalf of her revolution, Helen was still willing to side with her clearly murderous and unhinged friend.

Their friendship came to an abrupt end when Helen's conflict reached its breaking point after she watched Emily commit fratricide and listened to her rant about how the Eight Worlds needed to evolve, regardless of anyone's well-being. Unable to stand idly as Emily prepared to use the Bow-Tie to methodically destroy entire civilizations, Helen promptly switched sides and confronted Emily, claiming that it was not her place to force humanity to change. A duel broke out, severing their friendship forever, with Emily horrified and infuriated at the idea of losing Helen, and Helen ultimately defeated her and left her for dead. The two no longer held any real affection for each other, with Helen stating that she still feared Emily even now, and later openly asking Emily why she was so mean all the time.

Helen and Emily would meet again a month later when Emily abducted the Decemahead and tortured Cade Hogan. During that time, Emily mocked her for replacing Lenny Hughes with Steven, who she deemed to be far more insalubrious than Lenny. Helen's betrayal of Emily might be seen as the catalyst for Emily's downfall, as it was her actions that led to Emily's fall into insanity, although it was the Orc Devil's destruction (and while she couldn't possibly know this, the Black Queen's abandonment of her) that gave the final push. After Emily died, Helen hung her head sadly and mumbled, "At last", perhaps indicating that despite the relief she felt, Helen still retained some care and respect for her old friend.

Summer Petersen[]

Summer Petersen

Summer Petersen, her seemingly loyal servant turned mortal enemy.

"You're not with us, you're against us!"
―Emily Watson to Summer Petersen[src]

Emily Watson took an instant dislike to Summer Petersen, for no apparent reason, prior to the School War. The two officially made enemies in each other after the Battle of Draper. When she learned that Petersen was helping to initiate the defense against the Girl-Team, Watson considered her more of a threat than ever. As the war progressed, however, Watson quickly became enamored of Petersen, wanting to turn her to evil, even rigging an art contest in order to do so. In targeting Petersen, Watson unwittingly sowed the seeds of her own destruction.

Jay Organa realized that it was Summer Petersen’s abilities, combined with her capacity to love, that would empower her to defeat Watson. Unlike Petersen, who was mentally, emotionally, and spiritually intact, Watson was psychologically, spiritually, and emotionally shredded, feeling only arrogance, hatred, and greed. Again, Organa insisted that they differed in one crucial way — Petersen loved her friends, while Watson loved only power and revenge. Summer Petersen understood that it was also about choices: Watson’s actions regarding Thompson were based on vengeance and fear, while everything Petersen did was for self comfort or the greater good, mostly the latter. That choice also prevented Petersen from falling to the Darkness.

In the second half of the war, Petersen became an insurgent under the Girl-Team, during which time Watson forgave her for past slights and accepted her help. She was still wary, however, and only sent Petersen to complete minor tasks. She became uncharacteristically angry when she learned the truth, and her hatred for Petersen may have even outrivaled her hatred for Steven Thompson. Nevertheless, she expressed regret that Summer had been playing her, indicating that she did value her loyalty after all.

Shortly afterwards, Petersen furiously battled her when she seemingly killed Steven Thompson. However, Summer bound her with a net and, motivated by Vincent Organa's example to show her empathy, begged her not to throw her future away, causing Emily's mentality to collapse. She began screaming wildly and hacking at her bonds, screaming, struggling, crying uncontrollably and mumbling incoherently as her emotions spun out of control. Summer became horrified that she was falling apart and about to kill herself as a result and rushed to save her, but Emily lunged forward and stabbed her, showing that Summer did not wish death on Emily (or any of her enemies for that matter), but Emily would do anything to kill Summer no matter what happened between the two of them. Her dishonorable taking of Summer's life, however, backfired, and Emily never lived to learn that Summer entered Oblivion and returned from the dead thanks to the sacrifice of Vincent and Jay that made an era of healing from Emily's war possible.

Vincent Organa[]

Emily Watson initially saw Vincent Organa as the head of the resistance against the Girl-Team and hated him for the threat he posed. Vincent, on the other hand, was dismissive of her until her promotion to the rank of Supreme Leader, though he clearly didn't approve of her personality he did respect her, if not slightly, for her selflessness. It is unknown how the two have had dealings in the past, but after Vincent offered his rank of leadership to her archenemy, Steven Thompson, she was grateful to him for placing her enemy in a much more vulnerable position — he once was a celebrity no one would do any harm to, and now he was the primary target of any members of the Girl-Team who had a prejudice against the Boy-Team.

However, after the Boy Trap was initiated, Vincent saw her for who she was and came to despise her nearly as much as she despised him. She hated being compared to him, even going so far as to punch Summer in the head for doing so. After Emily declared war on Tower Placement, Vincent decided to kill the new Supreme Leader personally. He failed but managed to gain an insight about the Girl-Team and enforce her retreat. Emily saw him as a driving factor that bolstered the might of the Armies of Organa and wanted him dead very badly. Even so, while both Vincent and Emily disagree in their view towards the male sex, he attempted to bring some calm to her tormented soul before she murdered him — finally succeeding in killing him, but only when it was too late.

Other Boy-Team members[]

Emily Watson initially hated Jay Organa, mostly because he was the loyal twin brother of the head of the resistance against the Girl-Team and she despised the ninja him for the threat he posed. Jay, on the other hand, was dismissive of her until her promotion to the rank of Supreme Leader. It is unclear whether the two have had dealings in the past, but after the Boy Trap was initiated, Jay came to loathe her for her actions. After Emily declared war on Tower Placement, Jay decided to kill the new Supreme Leader personally. He failed but managed to gain an insight about the Girl-Team. Jay was deeply grieved and wracked with guilt, blaming himself for allowing the initiation of the School War and for the deaths he knew would follow. Despite this, he returned to the battlefield just prior to the Mission to the City Quarter. Because he crafted weapons, Emily saw him as a, if not the driving factor that bolstered the might of the Armies of Organa, and wanted him dead very badly.

Emily Watson had little direct contact with Charles Hugh, but he saw her as an ideal embodiment of malevolence and despised her for the threat she posed to his friends, especially when his own reputation began to suffer as a result of the Boy Trap Emily constructed, which is what led him to join the Armies of Organa, even though he was not truly loyal to the organization and found them to be shallow, just not as shallow as the Watson-led Girl-Team. The two encountered each other directly during the Coup of Utah, where she enraged him by torturing baby Cade and tried vigorously to kill him in spite of having little contact beforehand. He told her that while he agreed men had the capacity for heinous acts, there was much more to them than that. Furthermore, he didn't learn about her attempt to kill his dear friend Luke Norris until several months after Emily's death.

Others[]

Kayliah fullcolored

Kayliah Galibraith, her former follower.

Emily was admired by Cassie and Kayliah Galibraith, both of whom had many of the same views as the revolutionist. However, Cassie and Kayliah eventually changed their minds and decided they didn't want to serve Emily anymore. Emily at least discovered Kayliah's disenchantment, and possibly Cassie's as well, but before she could act on this, she was killed, albeit very indirectly, by Summer Petersen.

Victims[]

Name Cause of death
Betsy Fed to her pet lioness
Michael Watson Manslaughter
Toli Stabbed by laser sword
88+ male residents of Salt Lake City Eviscerated by the reconfigured High Rider
Summer Petersen (quickly brought back to life) Stabbed by laser sword

Career accomplishments[]

Emily Watson has received honors and awards over the course of her activism. In May 2021, before the start of her school strike, she was one of the winners of a gender roles essay competition from the Jovian Daily News for young people. She has received prizes from various NGOs but also from scientific institutions that lauded her unanticipated success in raising awareness. This included being one of the youngest people ever to be featured on Time's 25 most influential teens of 2021, an annual list compiled by Time magazine of the most influential teenagers in the world that year, being featured on Nature's 10, an annual list of ten "people who mattered" in science, produced by the scientific journal Nature, being included on Forbes list of The World's 100 Most Powerful Women, 2021, and on Forbes 30 under 30 the year prior for her work as an extremely young social entrepreneur, and even being a prominent nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize. She also became the very first and only known individual ever to receive a Key to the City for Provo, Utah. She was also recognized as one of the BBC's 100 women of 2021.

Emily Watson has also been depicted in popular culture and art. Emily and the Boys, a book by Rae Giselle, published by Yimaids Children's Books, was inspired by the life of Emily. Mercurian painter Krik Xoveks chose her 2021 portrait Emily Watson as the leading image of one of her shows. She has been depicted in multiple murals. As mentioned before, Emily was featured on the Time magazine cover in July 2021 issue, where she was described as a role model and one of the "Next Generation Leaders". She and fifteen others were featured on the cover of the fashion magazine Vogue. Some of Emily's speeches have been incorporated into music. In 2021, Emily contributed a voiceover for a release of "The Modern Consortium", a song by the Venusian band by the same name. Emily finishes the song by urging: "It doesn't really matter how old we are, because when the patriarchy is out of control, vicious revolution becomes our civic duty." In November 2021, X-Terminate set her iconic US Action Summit speech to death metal. In February 2022, the National Tsing Hua University installed a life-sized sculpture of Emily on its campus. When everyone realized they were duped, however, the conqueror who had posed as an activist to hide her megalomaniacal and genocidal plans was regarded posthumously with absolute abhorrence, even by her own father.

Behind the scenes[]

In previous drafts, Emily Watson was originally going to be the main character because of how the author, D. Isaac Thomas, got the idea for Boys vs. Girls: The Coming Darkness. The idea came from Nancy Matson's The Boy Trap, where the main character's name was Emma Adams. Thomas never actually read it past the back cover.

Boys vs. Girls: The Fate of the Towers was originally going to feature a scene where Emily listens to Steven Thompson mention that she would have to eliminate her androgynous female followers for her plan of making masculinity "far less than a mere memory", and proceeds to call on the Orb's power to pinpoint four dozen of her followers, summon them to her and Steven, and callously throw them all off of the roof. However, the scene was cut due to being extremely disturbing.

Reception[]

Having made a considerable impact on both readers and in-universe characters, Emily Watson's critical response has generally been positive. Chris praised her for being a fantastic strategist and an excellent manipulator. However, the character has also been the target of negative attention as some readers found her energy harrowing and considered her personality and motives to be considerably underdeveloped, as unlike every other villain in the trilogy, Emily Watson lacked any of the well-intentioned motivations with legitimate points on how flawed the cosmos is that genuinely wanted to fix it their way that made them such compelling villains, and was instead a psychotic, delusional, destructive, megalomaniacal and purely evil tyrant, all in spite of having a similar set-up. Quite ironically, she was actually meant to be the same well-intentioned extremist, who believed only men truly knew harmony and that they must learn to coexist with women, and yet that mostly came off as a sanctimonious fanatic, and was then drowned by her entire endgame being to fuse with the Orb and create an age of suffering that would end up wiping out men and enslaving women, which made no sense in hindsight that contradicted it beyond belief. If D. Isaac Thomas wanted to convey her as a compelling antivillain, her endgame alone was enough to show he failed to properly convey her characterization and any good intentions were very hard to buy. It got so bad that someone once accused her character of blatantly "demonizing" feminists, although D. Isaac Thomas has verified that this is a gross misconception, especially because wonderful people like Jesse O'Hara and Helen Thornton are also outspoken about gender equality, meaning Watson shouldn't be perceived as "demonizing" anyone.
