"Offhand, I'd say this mission goes far past diplomacy."
―Lindsay Kellerman[src]

Lindsay Kellerman is the deuteragonist of The Super Babies Saga and one of the main female protagonists of the D.I.T. Literary Universe. The only child of Bridgett and Zach Kellerman, Lindsay's infancy was shadowed by a prophecy that stated that a girl born on the tenth of a month in 2029 could be able to defeat him. In what proved to be a vain attempt to circumvent the prophecy, Mr. Stupid NoHead tried to murder her when she was only a month old. Mr. Stupid NoHead murdered Lindsay's parents as they tried to protect her, but his subsequent and unsuccessful attempt on the baby's life ultimately resulted in Lindsay learning she was a mutant and being orphaned and accepted into the ranks of the S.M.S.B. following the climactic Battle of Tsala.

Ever loyal to her master, Baby Intelligence, Lindsay Kellerman accompanied the S.M.S.B. on several missions and played a crucial role in ending the Second NoHead War. In the mix, she also met her future love interest, Telekinibabe. Lindsay fought in the Third NoHead War following the return of Hell Burnbottom and participated in the first half of the American Purge. During this time, she also befriended Red X and Andromeda. She also fought in the War of Jupiter, and in the 2060s, she helped prevent the theft of the legendary Pit of Holograms.

In the future, after Master Intelligence was murdered by the Dark Flame, Kellerman became the new leader of the S.M.S.B. When bringing together the Daughters of Nebelon, Nebelon seduced Lindsay Kellerman by convincing her that she knew what was in the afterlife before giving the mutant more power and a new uniform. Kellerman then accompanied them as they moved against the S.M.S.B. during the Battle of the Bridge. However, after witnessing a brutal assault on the Ruby Eidolon, she turned against Nebelon, leading to another one of the Daughters fatally wounding her and despite the best efforts of Sebiscuits Cardarphen and Titanium Girl, she accepted her fate and died, leaving Cardarphen as her successor.

Lindsay Kellerman is a supporting protagonist in S.M.S.B.: Where Are You Now?. She is the protagonist in Agents of the S.M.S.B.: The Latest Threat, making Baby Intelligence the deuteragonist, which has never been done before.

Biography[]

Pre-birth[]

Centuries before her birth, Lindsay Kellerman appeared to the Knight Drimsé Ur in a vision. The vision also included the instructor Steven Grande, Kellerman's master Baby Intelligence, and her enemy Thomas Meyer; all four of them would be destroyed by the NoHeads. This vision proved untrue, as the NoHeads never ended the lives of any of these four individuals, though it could be referring to their destinies.[1]

Early life[]

Infancy[]

Lindsay Kellerman was born on November 10, 2029 to Bridgett and Zach Kellerman; she was born exactly four months after her soon-to-be master, Baby Intelligence.

From birth, she lived in hiding with her parents after Mr. Stupid NoHead marked them for death. They lived in a small town in New Hampshire in a home put under a Taboo by Baby Intelligence to keep them hidden. They also had planned to make Sheriff Bladepoint their Secret-Keeper, but on his advice, they changed this designation to Amarone Chalsey, whom they thought would be less suspicious. In a terrible turn of fate, it happened that Chalsey was loyal to the NoHeads. She betrayed Zach and Bridgett and revealed their location.

When Lindsay was born, Bridgett held a christening; it was quiet and brief. Only Zach, Bridgett, Lindsay, and Zett were there. For Lindsay’s birthday, Zett bought her a walker.[2]

Attack on the Kellerman House[]

On the evening of Saint Nicholas Day in 2029, Mr. Stupid NoHead arrived at the Kellerman house and murdered Zach and Bridgett. He murdered Zach first, who tried to stand up to him; unfortunately he did not have his pistol with him and was killed immediately. Mr. Stupid NoHead then advanced on Bridgett, who attempted to protect Lindsay and claimed she was unaware of her powers. She was then killed by her assailant as Lindsay realized just what was happening. However, when Mr. Stupid NoHead used his lightning on Lindsay, the baby disappeared and the Dark Lord’s lightning rebounded off of her invisible form. NoHead left angrily, and Lindsay was orphaned. The Kellerman house was destroyed in the attack, and Bladepoint rescued Lindsay from the ruined house.

Life as an orphan[]

Kellerman found herself in an alleyway. While she was orphaned, she spent most of her time inside a box with the words "PLEASE ADOPT ME" written on it in marker. On December 14, 2029, a pedestrian spotted Lindsay and gave her some chocolate. He apologized that he could not adopt her, and watched as she learned that one of the chocolates contained Baby Intelligence's Holocard. This would serve as her first introduction to the identity of Baby Intelligence himself, who would soon become her Master and a close friend.

At some point shortly before or after acquiring the card, Lindsay met Tyler Grant Jnr, whose master, Albert Herrington, had sent the boy abroad to make contact with her, hoping to bend her to his will. Grant was skilled at convincing others, making him a suitable candidate for the task. In the end, Tyler chose to secretly leave Kellerman where she was. Instead, he introduced himself, and the two began to talk. Tyler also gave her an orange. Tyler liked her, too much to take her away with him. Because Albert believed Grant's backup story, he would never learn the baby's identity.

Approaching the Second NoHead War[]

Joining the S.M.S.B.[]

Two weeks after the Conspiracy against Palmyra, Baby Intelligence and the only remaining members of the group, Baby Strength and Force Baby, began seeking out the Chosen One by acquiring three scrolls. In the end, Lucy McCallin revealed, albeit cryptically, that Lindsay Kellerman was the girl they had sought for two weeks. From inside her box, Kellerman saw them conversing on a rooftop in the night when they noticed a robbery going on below. They cornered the Lunch Money Bandit, who had just barely mugged Percy and Stephanie. They pounced on the mugger and manage to shake the stolen money off of him, to which the bandit responded to by launching a grenade. However, Lindsay Kellerman, who was in the same alleyway, made the grenade disappear. Baby Strength grabbed the crook and he and Force Baby threw him into Officer Walltalker’s patrol car.

Believing he has found the baby he had foreseen would join them, Baby Intelligence brought Lindsay to the MBH with them. Lindsay arrived at Baby Intelligence’s office, and when she woke up, Baby Intelligence introduced himself and told her he had identified her power of Deteleportation. He asked her if she would join, and Lindsay was more than happy to extend her hand in order to shake on it. However, this was interrupted by a recently-installed alarm. Kellerman came with the other members as they rushed to the Pinewood Derby in order to stop a bank robbery. On the way, Baby Intelligence introduced her to Force Baby.

They arrived at the bank, but they were too late to prevent the robbery. However, Baby Intelligence did realize that Mr. Stupid NoHead was most likely the culprit. Kellerman babbled in fear. Because Baby Intelligence thought she was asking who Mr. Stupid NoHead was, he told her. They then mounted to their car and headed off to face the villain, though Kellerman felt unprepared to experience the rage of battle[3].

Battle of Tsala[]

They arrived at the Tsalian Fortress, where Kellerman, who had flatly refused to wait outside, helped Baby Intelligence and Force Baby rescue Aegii. Aegii hid and they began searching for Baby Strength. Thanks to an Arcanus named Seon Wan, their arrival was detected immediately[4].

Mr. Stupid NoHead arrived and captured them, but then the Romans, whom Force Baby had contacted, converged on the scene and beat back hordes of NoHead forces. Force Baby used the Kraft to project wards in front of Kellerman for her protection. She finally found Baby Intelligence and, along with Force Baby, they pursued the Dark Lord and cornered him inside an antechamber. Angered, Mr. Stupid NoHead confronted the group. As the battle began, Baby Intelligence seized a log for defense. The Dark Lord noticed Kellerman early on and pursued, chasing the terrified baby up a pile of logs. After a brief exchange of fists, NoHead pushed Lindsay toward the fireplace. However, Baby Intelligence leaped forward and pushed her away; however, he accidentally tumbled to the edge of a window in the process. Mr. Stupid NoHead tried throwing logs at the baby in order to knock him out the window, only to have the superhero knock one back at him with his own log (making Kellerman giggle). However, when Mr. Stupid NoHead tossed a wagon at his opponent, Baby Intelligence was successfully knocked out the window.

In baby talk, Kellerman shouted at Force Baby to follow Baby Intelligence. Dodging Death beams from Mr. Stupid NoHead, they leaped out the window together. Both of them rolled away into a trap that began with a savage waterfall made entirely of tomato juice. They then landed into a dark, vast chamber, where they saw a pack of wolves about to eat Baby Intelligence, who could do little unarmed and alone. However, Kellerman and the others immediately engaged the wolves, taking out at least fifteen of them and winning. Suddenly, Kellerman noticed Baby Intelligence heading for a vat of fire and Teleported him to safety. On the grateful superhero's request, Kellerman proceeded to Teleport everyone back into the fortress, leaving herself for last.

When the S.M.S.B. returned, Baby Intelligence noticed a Death Machine and spoke German to make it self-destruct. The explosion aroused Mr. Stupid NoHead, and he entered the room to discover the wreckage. Baby Intelligence herded Kellerman back, then rushed at the angry villain, who quickly overpowered and imprisoned him. The second immortal apprentice once trained by the deceased wizard Merlin arrived and battled the Dark Lord until he feigned Deteleportation. Mr. Stupid NoHead returned, but a mysterious binding energy connected Lindsay Kellerman with Baby Intelligence. They easily cast away the RC warriors as they engaged NoHead in a duel of wills with the latter trying to assert his power. Kellerman, however, proved herself unyielding and demanded that the Dark Lord return to the underworld "where [he] belongs". Ultimately the two babies overpowered Mr. Stupid NoHead, who was flung into the Fire Room. Unfortunately, the encounter sapped their energy, and they fell unconscious[5].

Rome American Hospital[]

Lindsay Kellerman had been severely weakened by the sheer power of the Voice of Sir Edgar Caravan, and before long, she was near death. The ghost of Sir Edgar Caravan worked rigorously to keep her and Baby Intelligence, who was experiencing the exact same ordeal, alive. In a strange meditative trance she experienced during this time period, she struggled to fight off flashes of red light and tormenting memories that came with the after-effects of the Voice. Sir Edgar appeared and comforted her. It is unknown what words were exchanged, but Sir Edgar finally left her subconscious and proceeded to Baby Intelligence.

With Sir Edgar gone, Kellerman woke in Rome American Hospital, where Baby Intelligence learned she was well on her way to making a full recovery. With Mr. Stupid NoHead defeated, Baby Intelligence, Force Baby, Kellerman, and a transfer named Dante Christensen all returned to the Pinewood Derby, which was still parked outside the base. On the way home, Baby Intelligence declared that they had found a keeper, clearly referring to Lindsay. To Kellerman’s joy, everybody cheered.[3]

The ceremony[]

The day after being discharged from Rome, Baby Intelligence had some Romans still posted at Tsala send wolves in carriers so he and Kellerman could take the surviving wolves to a rescue organization that took the wolves. Over the next week, Baby Intelligence taught Kellerman how to speak, and also designed and sewed her a supersuit. Kellerman revealed that she did not want a new name. In addition, he allowed her to train with Force Baby and Dante Christensen, whilst teaching her the basics of swordplay. During her training, Lindsay chose to specialize in Grund. She displayed an early interest in studying Shil VIII, though Baby Intelligence refused to let her study it[6].

As a result of Mr. Stupid NoHead's demise, the S.M.S.B. received medals of honor from Mayor Ai Chiou on the eighteenth. Baby Intelligence chose this point and time to give Kellerman her supersuit.[3]

Shortly afterwards, Baby Intelligence realized Kellerman was confused about the new schedule and told her of it. Kellerman was present when Baby Intelligence learned from his soon-to-be Crodela Team Captain that he had made the team to the Holy Mackerels, which Kellerman congratulated him for. Baby Intelligence began practicing to play the sport on tackling dummies in the backyard, often watched by Kellerman or his cat Achilles, whom Kellerman took a quick liking to.[6]

Rescuing Rocken Role[]

Shortly after Lindsay Kellerman and Baby Strength had a practice duel, an alarm alerted Baby Intelligence, the one monitoring their clash, to a concert beginning soon. He summoned everyone to the Pinewood Derby, and they quickly arrived at the concert. There, Lindsay, like everyone else, was excited to see Rocken Role enter stage. However, they were all shocked when he suddenly begins to sing in a babbling language known as Blabberish. After the performance, Baby Intelligence learned that Role was implanted with a mechanized Blabberish voice box inside. This reminded him of the NoHead threat, and he rallied the others to help stop them.

They went to Tsala, where Baby Intelligence discovered the fortress has been deserted. Before Lindsay could respond, he then revealed that he found a GPS.

Merchant Park did not go well, and they flew across Wyoming to find a secret base hidden in Yellowstone National Park. Upon arriving, everyone climbed out and begins a search. With the help of Lindsay, Baby Intelligence discovered the entrance to the Yellowstone Base.

Showdown in Yellowstone[]

Once they rode the chute inside, they quickly found the entrance to the chamber, and after taking down several obstacles, they fought the NoHeads for the first time. Baby Strength was the first to fight Hell Burnbottom, but he was quickly cut down.

Lindsay then leaped into the path of Hell Burnbottom’s sword, blocking it with her own, saving her comrade’s life in the process. Taking up Baby Strength’s weapon, Lindsay unleashed a flurry of attacks, which caught Burnbottom off guard at first. However, despite the tactical advantage the second blade granted, it was short-lived. Without more than basic training in dual-blade combat, Lindsay’s use of two blades simply wasn’t good enough to pass through Burnbottom’s guard, and the NoHead eventually managed to destroy the blade, leaving Lindsay with only her sword. At that point, Burnbottom’s greater practice and experience allowed him to regain the upper hand, and, despite holding her own for much of the duel, Lindsay lost the battle to Hell Burnbottom. After being rescued by Baby Intelligence, Lindsay, Force Baby, and Baby Strength were transported back to the MBH for healing.

Kellerman accepts her possible future position.

The two Supers were interrupted by the arrival of four Ugbots, but they dismembered them as well. The two babies advanced on their enemies, who fled at once. Making their way to the hangar, the battle over, Baby Intelligence made an oath to Kellerman: in the case of his death, she was to succeed him as Grand Master of the S.M.S.B.

Lindsay Kellerman awoke to realize Baby Intelligence was gone, much to her horror. Grimly, she took off with the others, noticing that Telekinibabe had taken it hardest of all, concerning her immensely. She also realized that Force Baby's sense of defenselessness made him quiet and fearful. She eventually met Optica when she escaped from the hospital, and the two quickly became friends.

Kellerman eventually ran into Baby Intelligence, and together they began searching for the others. Kellerman's recent exploits with her friends proved to be an extremely valuable source of information for Baby Intelligence, but they could make little of the babies' trajectory. She chose to keep Optica's existence a surprise, in order to motivate herself to maintain her determination. Prior to attending the Crodela match against the Conniving Cows, Kellerman confessed to her master that she supported the Ancient Abominations, as they had an exciting and complicated background, and she considered the Holy Mackerels an amateur team. She went to the stadium where the match was airing live and witnessed the Mackerels' quickly achieved victory. After the game, she was seen socializing with a handful of young female fans. She was found by Baby Intelligence and, to her utter shock, Telekinibabe. Telekinibabe led them to the others, and he apologized for leaving them. They took off in the Pinewood Derby afterwards.

The S.M.S.B. returned to the NoHead base for a respite. Baby Intelligence and Lindsay flanked the police. Upon seizing a tank, the two babies decided to ride it through the base, destroying a gate blocking their path. The two eventually dismounted at the cliffs overlooking the waterfall.

Around this time, Lindsay was contacted by Lewis. The quad turbolaser cannons were protected by a power source, and the police could not do much with it there. Lindsay was asked to help destroy it. As Lindsay went to comply, she disabled an Ugbot in her way and rescued three police officers from the Rockets. Lindsay then entered a tunnel. On the other side, she destroyed the two power conduits on its side, causing the cannons to explode. Lewis contacted her again and told her the cannon had been destroyed. She rushed off to rejoin the battle.

The destruction of the first tank surprised Mean King. Under cover of the confusion, Bladepoint led his team into the base. The strike force sneaked into the front yard and fought a squad of Rockets. After the robots were eliminated, Lindsay and Baby Intelligence led the strike force into the hangar. The battle raged on in the plaza, where the team engaged more Rockets. The strike force was discovered, and with Rocket reinforcements on the way, Lindsay was asked to assist the team by destroying the 6 power cells powering the doors. She lowered the shields on the power cells and sliced through each one when its shield was down. The others provided covering fire, and in Baby Intelligence’s case, sword cover while Lindsay was disabling the cells.

The police forces cleared out the hangar in short order. During the engagement, Tyler hid inside a skyfighter. Then the doors opened, revealing Hell Burnbottom, son of the Shadow. The two babies moved to engage him in the inevitable clash. The police left to take the long way through a different door, but were then pinned down by Ugbots. Burnbottom drew his sword. After the babies drew their weapons, the NoHead Grand Master moved for the attack. Tyler accidentally took off and destroyed the Ugbots with the craft’s far stronger laser cannon blasts.

As the duel raged on, Burnbottom spun away and telekinetically threw the piece of a perished Ugbot to hit the controls for the door leading to the Refinery Complex. Lindsay caught up with Burnbottom, followed by Baby Intelligence. Burnbottom kicked Lindsay right off the catwalk they were on, but the girl managed to hold on to the edge of a lower platform. When trying to return to the battle, Lindsay fell through the catwalk down to the next level. It took a while, but after clearing several obstacles Lindsay was able to ride an elevator to the main chamber while Intelligence and Burnbottom continued to fight. She immediately rushed after the combatants.

Baby Intelligence, then fighting alone, did his best to fend off the NoHead until Lindsay could catch up with them, but the baby had been exhausted by the lengthy duel and, deprived of the space necessary to properly utilize his preferred form of sword combat, he was run through, knocked over, and believed to be dead. Burnbottom then taunted Lindsay.

Lindsay was enraged at the apparent murder of her master and once the force fields opened, quickly charged at Burnbottom. During an intense duel, Lindsay managed to cut Burnbottom’s sword in two. However, Burnbottom continued to fight the baby, and pushed Lindsay into a pit. Lindsay managed to survive by grabbing onto an input nozzle at the last moment, but Burnbottom kicked the baby’s sword down the long shaft and then proceeded to slash the rim of the pit, showering sparks upon Lindsay in an attempt to make her lose her grip. Lindsay managed to calm herself. Then she pulled herself up hard, apparating behind Burnbottom and calling Intelligence’s sword to her hand as he did so. Lindsay then slashed him through the waist. Burnbottom fell into the pit and Lindsay then rushed to her master’s side. Intelligence stood up and revealed he was alive.

Later, in the aftermath of the battle, Lindsay returned to the MBH and offered tips with Tyler in his training. They also took it easy for the next week, but were goaded into action by a vision of Mean King fighting Telekinibabe.

Carol Wilcox began teaching Kellerman how to read. When Gobbles trotted into the room, he bit off a page of the picture book they were reading, The Three Little Pigs, angering Wilcox and prompting her to send Gobbles out.

Kellerman also met up with Indiana Shaffer. Suddenly, a stave was thrown into her heart by an Arcanus named Cassidy. Kellerman retaliated quickly, stabbing Cassidy in her abdomen.

Kellerman accompanied Baby Intelligence after he and Optica sought out Natalie K. Wagner, as Wagner was mere hours from going into labor. Along with several of Wagner's friends, Kellerman helped her through it, to the best of her abilities.[7]

Mission to Golgolod[]

Soon after the battle, Lindsay awoke Telekinibabe from a grim vision concerning the NoHeads. After getting dressed, he followed her to the dining room for breakfast, where the entire group elaborated on the fact that Mean King and Brute Gunray were still alive.

Along with the others, Lindsay approached the Yellowstone base in her escape pod, unaware they had already been spotted. They landed without incident, and proceeded cautiously into the base, Lindsay at the head of the group. As they began to search for Brute Gunray, they encountered RC-4. Lindsay began to quietly stalk RC-4 and his group, and was proceeded by the others. However, they were forced to give up on this when the group disappeared from sight. As they prepared to continue through the NoHeads' base of operations, RC-4 suddenly reappeared and opened fire on the trio. Lindsay called the others back and fought back briefly before RC-4 disengaged from his target. This time, they did not attempt to follow him. Shortly thereafter, they were cut off by another group of Rockets. As the group of Rockets broke off the fight, Baby Strength began to wander off, while Telekinibabe stuck with Lindsay. When calling him back didn’t work, Lindsay followed Baby Strength as he headed for a door. But just as Baby Strength passed through, the door slammed shut behind him, cutting him off from Lindsay and Telekinibabe.[7]

During the funeral of Sheriff Bladepoint, Kellerman sat, according to Baby Intelligence, more still than she ever had before, humming a sad tune that she had possibly made up in conjunction with the one playing.[7]

Confronting Sebiscuits Cardarphen[]

Lindsay Kellerman joined Baby Intelligence on his mission to stop Sebiscuits Cardarphen and Annabeth Black. When Sebiscuits found them, he knocked them to a platform and delightfully engaged the whole group. Moments after the babies ignited their swords, Sebiscuits leaped up and electrocuted Force Baby. Twirling his sword, he wounded Telekinibabe before he could defend himself. As Telekinibabe fell unconscious, Lindsay saw her chance and attempted to strike the traitor from behind, but was slashed at the waist when Sebiscuits turned to face her. Baby Strength was knocked out as well, and Intelligence dueled Sebiscuits one-on-one. Eventually, they awoke and rushed to Intelligence’s aid. There, they helped him escape and pursue their prone enemy. Sebiscuits managed to get a little further before he was caught up again. This time, Sebiscuits attacked himself using beams and speed glitches. All the S.M.S.B. members were shot off of their car and landed on the pinnacle of a volcano. Lindsay stepped out to challenge Sebiscuits, but was quickly felled. As Baby Intelligence and Sebiscuits clashed inside the volcano’s artificial structure, Baby Strength moved his fallen friend into the car where they would await Baby Intelligence’s return.[8]

American Purge[]

As a result of the curse Saron Facilor had assaulted Lindsay with, Lindsay had to return to New York City, which Force Baby had teleported her to. Throughout the next few weeks, Lindsay would exhibit soreness and constant stomachaches. She had to take no less than ten different medicines daily for an extended period of time, provided by a nurse at NYC Hospital named Joshua Pye. When she left the hospital, she still felt she could not return. Baby Intelligence agreed the other members could finish the mission, but always made sure Lindsay was never without work to do there. During the summer of 2032, Lindsay stayed in Edgewater for a couple of weeks. There, Max Cultarena gave Lindsay free ice cream sundaes every hour and helped her complete her homework on the medieval times.[9]

Ten years went by following the outbreak of the American Purge, and Lindsay Kellerman continued to help Baby Intelligence, now called Master Intelligence, and going into puberty age, had grown considerably in appearance and personality. In the face of the Melanization in 2035, as the Band of Justice continued their mission, the Sol System continued responding to the team, sparking quite a bit of controversy worldwide, with many being quick to express their opinions. Kellerman, struggling to cope with her disability and the controversy surrounding her and her friends, ultimately traveled abroad to train with Haig. She worked under him for free and would spend some of her spare time taking odd jobs, working for low pay. She eventually returned home just before Christmas of 2040, after over four years abroad. Kellerman was able to somewhat control and mediate her mental instability with the help of a therapist and social worker by obtaining medications. Despite being on six different medications, however, Lindsay at one point requested that her medication be increased because they were not making her feel any better.

However, in January 2041, Lindsay was disturbed by a vision she saw of Jonathan, an orphan, being slaughtered by the ghost of Hell Burnbottom. Immediately, Telekinibabe stood over her, asking her if she was all right. Lindsay told him vaguely of her nightmare, and asked him why he was there. Tyler responded that he “just came to check on [her].” After changing into her supersuit, Lindsay followed him out. As they walked the halls, which were running on florescent light, Lindsay pointed out that the halls were empty and asked if Master Intelligence was awake. Telekinibabe said Lindsay was the one who was tardy, before proving this when they arrive. Master Intelligence was standing at the front. Baby Strength, Sebiscuits Cardarphen, Hardy, and Force Baby were also there. Master Intelligence directly said that Lindsay was late, giving Telekinibabe and Lindsay proof of the halls’ state, and both took their seats. When Lindsay asked why there was an extra desk, Master Intelligence turned and cryptically said, “That desk is for Cynthia.”

Two days later, Red X joined the S.M.S.B., making her the first new member in five years. When she arrived, Lindsay warmly introduced herself just as Telekinibabe came up behind and Lindsay told her his name. With that, they headed inside the MBH. Cynthia was amazed as she walked through each hall. As they rounded the bend, Lindsay told Cynthia she must be quite powerful, regarding her late start. Before Cynthia could reply, Lindsay pinpointed Master Intelligence’s office. Over the next few months, Lindsay was the first besides Master Intelligence to befriend her and see her for being more than a dork. She also taught Red X how to deflect bullets, amid other things. In the mix, she was placed under mind control several times, so she witnessed much of Hell Burnbottom's plotting.[9]

The kangaroos are coming[]

"You're just another blonde model who's always on the side of whatever's the most controversial subject at the time, which makes money. I'm not interested in going around in a circle."
"Well, then, if that's what you're into... the mist is red, child, and it's creepin' in, like a molester. The marsupials are on their way. See ya round, kid.
"
―Lindsay Kellerman and Rose Johannson[src]

On May 1, Lindsay Kellerman went with Master Intelligence, Baby Strength, and Red X to Central Park East High School, where they met Tori Newell and Fagin Ford, along with Bridgett and London. Newell told them she was still in school and that she possessed a dark sense of humor. Newell also revealed that she possessed a phial filled with extremely powerful liquid of which she refuses to disclose to anyone, despite implying she may have told Ford. Despite not being exactly crazy about her, Kellerman considered her to be nicer than most of her peers, including Ford. On the other hand, Kellerman agreed with Newell that London was extremely annoying. She also briefly stumbled into Felix and took an immediate liking to him; the feeling was indicated to be mutual, and he ended up receiving her phone number. When they were leaving, Rose showed up and briefly addressed Master Intelligence before claiming that she wanted a word with Kellerman. Positively turned off by her sheer arrogance, Kellerman was uninterested, but Master Intelligence told her to follow her unless she went within a quarter-mile radius of Central Park East.

While Rose was initially excited to see her, Kellerman promptly told her that she'd decided not to grant her the import license. Rose was visibly irritated, beginning to nervously tap her fingers, but Kellerman physically stopped her, letting Rose know that she saw right through her altruistic façade, telling her that she could fool others into believing her lie of creating a potential deterrent against police brutality, but that she was not fooled into seeing its true nature as a means of helping herself be the Queen Bee and annihilating the Band of Justice in the process. Rose gave her a sinister grin, stating that she had considered turning an old picture into a masterpiece, enigmatically telling her that "the mist is red, and it's creepin' in... the kangaroos are on their way". Kellerman then promptly departed.[9]

Duel in the Tower of Reincarnation[]

Lindsay Kellerman and her new friend Felix began working on a literary project together, often hanging out at the library. After about a week of this, the S.M.S.B. had the surprise supper they had been planning, at which point Felix decided to formally meet the S.M.S.B. upon Master Intelligence's request by giving Kellerman tickets to a band called Xmitri. She touched her own plate, and as Felix worriedly grabbed her arm to join her, she was unexpectedly transported to the Tower of Reincarnation; the plate had been maliciously transmuted. Felix pushed a button, revealing a slide behind the tungsten passage to Lindsay. They both leaped inside, Lindsay following Felix's lead, and they tumbled down a slide and a secret slide (the second of which made Lindsay even more nervous than she already was). At the bottom, they landed to see a spacious basement. Both of them rushed into the adjoining room where Hell Burnbottom was waiting. On Burnbottom's orders, Lindsay was bound to a metal board by his servant Whammo Fireball while Felix was held to the ground by an animal, and the two friends were forced to witness a ritual in which Whammo used some of Lindsay's skin to restore Burnbottom's body. At which time, the Lunch Money Bandit Teleported to the tower.

After Burnbottom regained a full-size human form and explained his downfall and disappearance to his followers, Lindsay escaped her chains and freed Felix, hoping to stop Burnbottom's evil before he could go anywhere. Furiously throwing Felix aside, Hell Burnbottom then tortured Kellerman and then tried to murder her using his sword. After a three way-duel alongside Felix against the newly reborn warlord, Lindsay was momentarily shielded by the ghost of Rotta Hecks, who allowed Lindsay some time to grab the newly fixed plate and escape back to the MBH. Kellerman continued bonding with Felix after that incident, having no clue that she was being manipulated by a demon.[9]

Bonding with Felix[]

Soon after, Lindsay participated in the Second Fencing Tournament and defeated Telekinibabe in combat, having felt much better knowing Felix was watching from the bleachers. Afterwards, she saw Red X leaving for the summer with the second’s parents, causing deep envy in Lindsay. This, coupled with the trauma of Hell Burnbottom’s return, rendered her highly insecure, irritable, and rude. This also fueled her dislike of Tori Newell and her friends and in turn made her more clingy to Felix. On July 4, she isolated as much as possible during the hike.

On July 12, she confronted Master Intelligence outright. He asked if he was doing anything in particular that irritated her, but Kellerman was lost for words.

On August 4, Lindsay Kellerman went to visit Daisy to help bake a cake for Titanium Girl, with Felix offering to accompany them. Kellerman unexpectedly stayed the night at Daisy's, something Master Intelligence approved of. Around this time, she witnessed the first of many visions regarding Tori Newell and her interactions with the S.M.S.B. and her family, although she, much to her confusion, would never see Newell interact with her father or her boyfriend.

In December, Kellerman eventually learned that Baby Strength had a Christmas gift for Newell when he asked her to Teleport him and Master Intelligence to Newell's house. Kellerman, who was in a bad mood, refused.[10]

Confronting her past[]

Seeing visions[]

Lindsay Kellerman saw in a vision that Newell had experienced a lapse, leaving her in a grim emotional state, which in turn led to her being out of touch. She was touched when she witnessed Newell's apology to a bemused Baby Strength, who confessed that he had assumed she had a good reason for ignoring him, showing Kellerman just how much he trusted her. Minutes later, she publicly announced her love for Stanley, despite her previous fear of being discovered with her boyfriend courting an underage individual. Kellerman told this to Baby Strength, and eventually informed Daisy as well.

Kellerman witnessed Newell visit her mother on November 12 to celebrate her birthday with her, and they saw each other for the first time in months.

Later, Kellerman saw that Rose Johannson was about to stand trial before the Mutamon. She learned that Newell had sought out Crystal, but kept her distance from Johannson because the nurse had betrayed her. She saw another flashback immediately afterward, in which Master Intelligence, Baby Strength, and Titanium Girl helped Newell and her parents and siblings put up Christmas decorations and set up the Christmas tree. Last of all, she saw a flashback of Ted Newell finishing omelets he had made for his first-born daughter.

A week later, she saw a flashback of Baby Strength and Master Intelligence meeting Ted Newell.[10]

Attack on Trevor Bones[]

In November 2042, Lindsay insulted a reporter named Trevor Bones over an article she had written. In response, Bones printed a completely false story about Lindsay toying with the mentality of Master Intelligence, Telekinibabe, and Sebiscuits, and even feeling lust for Percy. This resulted in Lindsay receiving hate mail, but she eventually got her revenge. Lindsay Teleported with Bones, before throwing her into a pit and trapping her there before Deteleporting away. By doing this, she single-handed drove Bones into poverty, gaining revenge for the pain caused to Master Intelligence and her other friends.[10]

Return of Red X[]

When Red X finally returned to the MBH, Lindsay deliberately tripped on her, but quickly righted herself. After yelling at Cynthia, Lindsay telekinetically hurled her against a wall. Lindsay immediately left to her room to avoid discovery for the assault. When Master Intelligence asked her if she had done what she did, Lindsay denied any involvement.

Lindsay continued learning with the others. During this time, Master Intelligence also began a cooking class. Lindsay soon proved adept at the subject.

When instructed to give a speech of her own, Lindsay began teaching the others how to tie a tie telekinetically. At that moment, Kellerman's poison activated and the Umbralord was finally able to possess her fully, causing her to shoot purple, laser-like beams at the other members of the S.M.S.B. Finally, Sebiscuits blocked her attack on Telekinibabe and they began to duel briefly. The clash ended when Intelligence recovered and telekinetically hurled her into a wall. Upon sending the others away, Intelligence asked Lindsay what had happened to her, before taking her to the medical station and chaining her to a bed to recover. During this, she was disturbed and persuaded by a vision of her parents being interrogated and murdered by Mr. Stupid NoHead, which she immediately remembered as a flash of the past. Once she was released, she went after Red X.[10]

Lindsay moved against Red Mist.[10]

Flight to Bast Castle[]

Later she joined the S.M.S.B. on their journey to save Sebiscuits Cardarphen. During the sky battle, Kellerman and Force Baby fought side-by-side, taking out twelve of the thirty robotic fighters together. After she broke off from her partner, Hell Burnbottom pursued her, only to break off when he saw Master Intelligence.

Finally, all the members regrouped near the castle. After taking down the outer defenses, they all landed together, Red X included. When they arrived, the Umbralord greeted them and revealed Sebiscuits’ corpse. When the seemingly lifeless body of Sebiscuits was presented to the S.M.S.B. by the Umbralord, Red X cried out in disbelief and grief, and a distraught Lindsay had to restrain her. However, his death spurred the defenders on. With the battle restarted, Lindsay engaged Whammo briefly before he tied her and the other members. When Whammo left, she made her cords disappear, and did the same for the others.

Battle with the Umbralord[]

Lindsay began searching for the Umbralord, eager for a rematch. The Umbralord found her first, Apparating into the room and conjuring a ring of fire that cornered Lindsay. He then proceeded to throw Lindsay to the floor. He hardly punched her again. Lindsay tells the Umbralord that darkness will always fail. The Umbralord pushed Lindsay back to the edge of a balcony and advanced, telling Lindsay she was mistaken. Lindsay countered this statement and grabbed the Umbralord around the neck; she then threw herself and the Umbralord off the castle and into the city below.

As the two beings screamed, the Umbralord flew both of them away from the ravine. As they were flying through the air, Lindsay and the Umbralord began grappling each other and slammed into several roofs. Eventually they crash-landed into a construction site.

Injured, but still energized, they got to their feet. Once attained, the Umbralord engaged Lindsay in sword combat. However, Lindsay’s powers merged and went haywire. She attempted to slam the Umbralord backward, and her hand fired a beam that disarmed him. She attempted to Teleport away from the Umbralord’s lightning strike and she fired her own; the bolts locked together and clashed. However, Lindsay noticed Master Intelligence nearby and unwillingly broke free of the bond, causing it to rebound and burn her. After a pause in the duel, their bolts clashed once more — although this time, Lindsay realized her lightning was failing her. The connection between the two bolts was moving closer to Lindsay’s fingertips.

Master Intelligence then aided Lindsay by drawing water from the sewers so that it erupted and flowed out encasing the Umbralord inside a sphere of water in an attempt to drown him and end the fight. Lindsay got to her feet and made for Intelligence, but her Master telekinetically repelled her away whilst attempting to maintain his sphere. This broke his concentration, and the sphere collapsed. Now free from his watery prison, the Umbralord cast a large torrent of darkness towards Lindsay, but Master Intelligence held it back with an exceedingly powerful display of telekinesis. In a second attack, the Umbralord gathered the energy into a ball of light and released it, sending the energy in all directions; this explosion of Dark energy knocked over Master Intelligence and Lindsay and caused all the buildings in the site to shatter.

Arrival of Hell Burnbottom and Red X[]

The thousands of tiny shards of glass started to rain down upon the Umbralord, but he diverted their path, causing them to home in on Lindsay and Master Intelligence during their descent. Hell Burnbottom, who had recently arrived, deflected the shards en route by means of a transparent shield. The Dark Lord then conjured a small whirlwind that whipped up the shards around him. As they fell to the ground, it seemed that the Dark Lord Deteleported. However, he then possessed and tortured Lindsay. Lindsay tried to fight back, but was unable to do so. She was reminded of her most haunting memories. The Umbralord materialized above Lindsay and cast a shield around himself and Lindsay. The Umbralord advanced on Lindsay, but at that moment Red X returned with the Verasect in her hands. She fired two beams that decapitated him, thwarting the Apostles' plans of conquest and preventing the rebirth of the NoHeads.

Lindsay promptly awoke from her possessed state as Red X glided down. Realizing Red X had saved her life, Lindsay asked if Red X desired anything from her, but Red X only wanted to know why Lindsay had been mean to her. The two friends made their peace. Red X also destroyed the Verasect, much to Lindsay's dismay.[10]

Teen years[]

The following month, Lindsay began making a yearbook with Master Intelligence. As Red X left the MBH, Lindsay gave her a copy early, before heading inside with Master Intelligence, wondering what would come next.

Conflict with Genesis[]

Meeting Andromeda[]

Later, the S.M.S.B. would encounter a new villain called the Gladiator. It is unknown how active Lindsay was during the conflict, but she was supportive of new member Andromeda when she joined the organization.

Later on, Master Intelligence's former Crodela Team Captain, Ammon Dorber, arrived to execute Carol Dorber's will and bequeath some of her belongings to the S.M.S.B. Kellerman received several novels, which moved her to tears by Carol's great act of friendship.

A few days later, she congratulated Andromeda on saving Percy's life.[11]

Mission to Transylvania Quarters[]

Eventually, Lindsay dozed off and received a vision of the Gladiator preparing to destroy North America with a bomb. Despite Sebiscuits' protests, the rest of the S.M.S.B. was prepared to go to Transylvania Quarters immediately. Upon arriving, Master Intelligence located the Orb of Power. Soon after, the Gladiator arrived with the Knights of Plague. The S.M.S.B. members fought hard in two rounds of combat, during which time Lindsay engaged Eve, but they were eventually captured.

At some point during the battle, the Orb of Power ended up in Lindsay's hand. The Gladiator quickly pried it from her, then proceeded to reveal the electric bomb from Lindsay's vision. However, Red X and Captain Strength managed to break free. The villain launched the bomb, but Red X leaped in front of it, causing it to hit her instead and sacrificing herself in the process. The bomb never got past her torso, though it gave her a slow, painful death.[11]

In his fury, Master Intelligence was able to break out of his immobi rays and attack the villain, and quickly managed to defeat him as Lindsay watched. The Gladiator was later locked in a prison he himself had built to hold his enemies.

Everybody regretted Red X’s death, but as a result of it everybody else survived. Later on, Master Intelligence buried Red X next to Paige.[11]

The Peace era was a relatively calm time in Lindsay Kellerman's life when she began pursuing several careers on the side and helped her master as he began creating industry. Kellerman also spent a lot of time with Ramona Meyer and came to realize that she was one of his best friends. In 2059, Kellerman and the other S.M.S.B. members went swimming. On the way to the pool, Lindsay Kellerman noted Ramona's new swimsuit and asked her about it. Ramona said that an Australian princess gave it to her as a token of gratitude, leaving Kellerman skeptical.[12]

Mission to the t and i Factory[]

Fearing that the Dark Woman would rule the world if she stole the Pit of Holograms, Master Intelligence decided to steal it first. In the factory, Lindsay used her logic to figure out the riddle and let Master Intelligence go forward without her, as there was only enough energy for one person.[12]

Near the end of the Asian Revolution, Lindsay Kellerman and the S.M.S.B. were trapped in a landslide. When Master Intelligence emerges from it, he immediately makes sure everyone is all right. To his relief, everyone has survived. Just then, Rocken Role arrives, much to her surprise. After a brief talk, Role reveals that his assistant, Wesley Carrier, was captured by Mella Montgomery, and likely killed. Role then leaves to finish his mission.

Kellerman fought during the Skirmish in the Palace of Despair. In the dungeon, while Kellerman was meditating, she began to enter astral form, hoping to detect a weakness from Montgomery. Suddenly, the ancient entity known as Nebelon ambushed her and attempted to kill her. She allowed her into her mind, and she was too reckless in her approach, letting Kellerman in turn enter her mind. After she attempted to enter her mind, Kellerman's astral form lunged forward to punch her, only to injure her fists. However, Kellerman was then able to read her mind and she discovered the pain of her loneliness and her need for adoration, and dueled her mentally, telling her that she was unloved and stupid. Enraged, Nebelon grabbed a fistful of Kellerman's hair, sending her back into the Earthly plane. She was only half-conscious during the rescue that followed when George Thames II teleported into the palace, but Kellerman's headache from her battle with Nebelon turned out to be one that lasted for days.

In the aftermath, she learned from Wesley Carrier that London had been destroyed by someone she realized could be no other than Nebelon.[14]

The death of Master Intelligence[]

"'HE ISN'T GONE!!"
"I - I'm afraid so. Don't go after him! He is dead! We... we can't change that."
"Are you ready for this?
"
―Lindsay Kellerman and Sebiscuits Cardarphen after Master Intelligence is slaughtered[src]

In April of 2130, the Dark Flame discovered the plans for the MBH. He broke in to steal the plans, but upon entering a chamber, the S.M.S.B. was waiting for him there. Lindsay fired at the Dark Flame with a nearby gun, but the Dark Flame telekinetically tossed her against a wall, temporarily knocking her out. Sebiscuits engaged the Dark Flame in a sword duel, but he was overpowered. Lindsay drew her sword and engaged the Dark Flame in combat and spent part of the duel in retreat, defending herself against the Dark Flame’s advances. The two locked sabers and the Knight taunted her about her hair. Lindsay was far from offended and she moved onto the offensive, raining down upon her opponent. However, the Dark Flame drew upon his own powers and regained the offensive, delivering several blows against Lindsay until he finally disarmed her and slashed her across the face.

Three hours later, Lindsay recovered and found herself overlooking a bridge with Sebiscuits, where Master Intelligence was still fighting the Dark Flame. Though Master Intelligence tried to give the Dark Flame one last chance at redemption, the Dark Flame leaped onto the balcony to kill Lindsay. However, Master Intelligence blocked Lindsay with his own body, resulting in a stab through the torso. As Lindsay watched in disbelief, the Dark Flame sent the famed superhero tumbling out the window to his death.

Lindsay angrily called the Dark Flame a monster for murdering his own master. She and Sebiscuits engaged the Dark Flame in combat, none of the three able to gain any form of advantage for a considerable time. When the Dark Flame backed away for a moment, Lindsay and Sebiscuits hurled their swords at him, but this proved futile and Sebiscuits tossed Lindsay her sword. They attacked again, but Sebiscuits accidentally destroyed Lindsay's weapon while trying to do that to the Dark Flame. Lindsay was then blasted into the doorway leading into the chamber. Sebiscuits furiously rounded on the Dark Flame and eventually killed him.[14]

Grand Master of the S.M.S.B.[]

After Master Intelligence died, Lindsay assumed control of the S.M.S.B. Following the events that had transpired, his funeral was carried out. Lindsay was grief-stricken about Master Intelligence's death, having been his strongest supporter. At his funeral, Lindsay almost broke down several times, and later Lindsay and Sebiscuits were seen comforting one another. By now, only a handful of members were still alive. As the years passed, Lindsay was widely considered “just as good a leader as Master Intelligence.”[14]

Alternate Universes[]

Taking charge of the S.M.S.B.[]

Life on the run[]

During the skirmish in the City Volcano, Baby Intelligence was pushed into a vat of lava by Sebiscuits Cardarphen. He did not survive. A series of portals subsequently began opening.

Devastated by the loss of their Master, Kellerman, Telekinibabe, Baby Strength, and Force Baby were forced on the run and branded as criminals by the new regime the NoHeads had created. When they recovered a Time Machine, they arranged to fix it so they could alter the timeline and bring about a brighter future that the NoHeads had no control or influence over.

They initially fell into a stalemate, as they did not have the means to fix the machine and they did not know who to trust.[15]

However, their hopes were renewed when they encountered a young man whom Kellerman recognized as having heard call Maurice regarding Baby Intelligence and Karkamel. He took them to get something to eat and then they met Victoria's Military, a secret organization determined to overthrow the NoHeads.

They eventually took refuge with Jena Kamen for a short period of time.

Attack at Black Industries[]

Lindsay Kellerman wandered from camp, taking a look around, but she stopped short when she saw Annabeth Black herself talking to someone named Zed. However, Zed could smell her and Black followed her alongside her henchman Grind. Kellerman quickly realized she could not Deteleport. Black demanded for Kellerman to surrender, only to be commanded to leave by both Kellerman and her friend, Bruce Wright. Frustrated, Black commanded Grind to attack and bind Kellerman. As Bruce Wright began dueling him, Kellerman lunged at Black, who was leaning against a wall and humming, but Grind picked her up by the collar and began to strangle her. He punched Wright, aggravating her enough to Teleport out of Grind's hand despite the fields around Black Industries. Landing on the floor, Kellerman made another snide comment towards Black and drew her sword, but a blast resounded behind them, catching both of their attention. They both watched as Wright killed Grind.

Kellerman turned back to Black, who went on the offensive assaulting Kellerman with her telekinetic powers, throwing debris at her. At that moment, Baby Strength came running to the scene, but a man named Chris Walker arrived at the same time and engaged him. Black telekinetically threw a swarm of rocks at her. The superhero managed to Teleport out of the way and reappear on Black's shoulders. She pulled her hair, but Black telekinetically moved her through the air and slammed her against the side of a nearby building. Black began telekinetically binding Kellerman by twisting a nearby dog leash around her and fired a Stun beam at Kellerman's nose, knocking her unconscious. Black flew away with Kellerman and held her captive.[15]

Tortured by Annabeth Black[]

Awakening, Lindsay Kellerman found herself in the captivity of Annabeth Black. Noticing that Kellerman was awake, Black revealed that she intended to make her a ransom and then kill her publicly. Kellerman was then berated and taken up into the center of the city, by which time many people, mostly consisting of mutants, had gathered. Black flew back into the city, and at its center was met by Sebiscuits Cardarphen. The pair stood on either side of Kellerman, who had been chained to a pair of posts. The angry viewers watched on in horror as Black and Cardarphen tortured Kellerman with lightning and fire attacks. After Pythoman arrived, Cardarphen prepared to finish her off, but then Telekinibabe and Optica emerged and killed Black's guards, prompting her to flee. Telekinibabe escorted Kellerman outside through a crack in the wall and they boarded a ship and fled.[15]

Rescue of Hardy[]

Rendezvousing in the grass, Lindsay Kellerman also learned that her friends had managed to kill Chris Walker. Unfortunately, Optica deduced that the viewers had rebelled and been massacred. Kellerman realized they were ready to go, but they agreed not to leave Hardy to die.

Together, they reluctantly proceeded into the tower with Quintan driving the Time Machine, as she thought her driving the machine will be their best bet not to call attention to it, as they all knew Cardarphen would try and destroy it as soon as he got the chance.

An entity of sorts named Dark Baby Intelligence emerged and killed Baby Strength, much to Kellerman's horror, and threatened to make the others slaves if they did not surrender to Annabeth Black, Pythoman, and Sebiscuits Cardarphen. Kellerman shouted that they would rather die, prompting Black emerged in person. Both girls began to duel with swords until Force Baby called to them that he had finished dragging Baby Strength's corpse into the Time Machine and Kellerman somersaulted into the machine while Quintan smashed Telekinibabe into the machine which took off to present day. The last thing Kellerman saw was Black looking stunned and Dark Baby Intelligence turning into a mist.[15]

Physical appearance[]

Lindsay Kellerman was a pretty and reasonably athletic baby who wore a Chinese-styled braid and a plain supersuit with only a small ‘l’ on it. She generally wore her suit in battle and in training sessions. Otherwise, she dressed casually. When Baby Intelligence picked her up in New Hampshire, she was wearing a sky-blue onesie. She had green eyes and a squeaky voice that became soft and nearly ethereal when she was older.

Lindsay, in her teenage years, had a lot of stringy black shoulder-length hair with a straight fringe, which she cut in 2051, so her hair was short on the sides and back but longer on top, and she added an extra feminine touch to her new hairdo with a maroon headband. She maintained this look for a long time, as during the terrible three-way duel of 2070, she was wearing her hair in a slicked back style and bold side part. At the end of the Asian Revolution, her blunt bob was styled in a sleek, straight fashion, and during the Attack at the Acquisition District, her hair was a windswept bun framed by shorter layers around her face. Twenty-five years later, she had shoulder-length hair again, with flowing waves and a deep side part. However, as an old lady, her hair was a shoulder-length bob once again with blunt, silvery bangs.

Personality and traits[]

"You think it's a coincidence that I made that oath alone in a small room? She isn't looking for approval. She isn't looking for riches. The only power she wants is the power to commit justice. She doesn't care, she just asks herself if something is morally correct. She's loyal to me but more loyal to the cause and you know what happened when Mr. Stupid NoHead asked her to join him?"
"No, what?
"
―She just looked him in the face and said, 'Screw you snake.' And believe me, being an orphan should've hardened her out. Do you realize how rare that is? She is truly one-of-a-kind and I'm determined to turn that in the right direction.[src]

Highly altruistic and benevolent, Lindsay Kellerman was the embodiment of honorability. She was an empathetic and highly intelligent little girl who didn't want others to suffer like her but was also impulsive and somewhat naïve. She was a good leader and a skilled tactician and her quick thinking earned her the respect of several other S.M.S.B. members. Lindsay was also very strong willed, and irrevocably loyal to the S.M.S.B., something she herself stated in 2030. She believed her loyalty to the group was more genuine than to its leader, even though she looked up to him. Her courage and utter refusal to concede to despair was even noticed by Mr. Stupid NoHead, who implored her to join him. She refused, even under the mental torments he forced her to endure, especially while she was wielding the Voice of Sir Edgar Caravan, which terrified her even more than Baby Intelligence.[3][15] It is also notable that she demonstrated incredible restraint when it comes to dieting, which helped result in a reasonably attractive figure when she was 22 years of age, though she also nodded her head in agreement when Andromeda said people should exercise to be fit, not slender. The aspiring superheroine possessed a heart full of generosity and a willingness to help other people in need.

Kellerman was also very spiritual. She believed in the six sides of mutation, but her knowledge of it was lacking due to her limited exposure to its powers. As her training progressed under Baby Intelligence, Kellerman began to see mutation as something more than the abilities it granted to mutants. She agreed with Baby Intelligence that mutation was the balance between several rows of dual opposite concepts — such as life and death, creation and destruction, or light and darkness — though she continued to disagree with her master's belief that there is no such thing as black and white. It was her faith in mutation, along with her loyalty to her master, that prompted her to confront Hell Burnbottom in person, even though she was full aware that she hadn't exactly held her own during their first fight in the exact same locale.

Kellerman was also extraordinarily perceptive, deducing the reason for Baby Intelligence temporarily abandoning his students, albeit later than Baby Strength, a conclusion which helped her realize where he probably was. In her adolescence, this trait made her one of the very few people to swiftly (partially) see through the deceptive charade of the terrifyingly manipulative Rose Johannson when the latter advocated the use of [blank - content needed] as a deterrent against police brutality and the Band of Justice, which made her refuse Rose an import license on the mineral and irritably tell her they had nothing left to discuss, although the disturbed little girl made the mistake of being immoderately blunt in telling her what she viewed her as, leading to Rose attempting to cause financial problems for her after perceiving her as a threat. However, it was years before she could do anything to significantly affect her villainous grand plan. This all makes her comparable to Charles Hugh, whose perceptive nature made him see through Mr. Phee while his bluntness and emotional honesty made him unable to give him his comeuppance in any shape or form.

As an infant, Lindsay possessed an urgent desire to learn how to read English. Eventually, Carol Wilcox taught her how to do this, as she was afraid (for unknown reasons) to ask Baby Intelligence to teach her. In her later years, she is shown to have a profound love for reading. Additionally, she took a fancy to Crodela after seeing how "cool" the Ancient Abominations were.

During the Second NoHead War, Baby Intelligence felt that she reminded him too much of himself: full of hope, impatient, and overly cautious. However, their similarities were what drove Baby Intelligence to prematurely make her his heir and bestow the greatest honor he had the capacity for.

In her pre-adolescence, Kellerman became a deeply disturbed and broken woman in a near constant state of anguish and clinical depression who still tried her best to be kind towards others. Even before the Third NoHead War she was already demonstrating dark tendencies, having long harbored a lethal hatred toward the rich and the powerful. Feeling uncomfortable with how the star system treats her, Kellerman would later see how the movement takes all of its rages against the rich population, and she would love to see their anarchistic riots. As a result of her own traumatic life experiences, Kellerman dives deeply into depression and borderline personality disorder, something the Umbralord exploited, making for a mean-spirited, insecure teenage girl. Despite her mental health, Lindsay would have never thought of giving up on her goal of protecting civilization. After a breakdown, she lost the capacity to fear anything and having scraped rock bottom for so long, she realized the only new direction to take is up as her life couldn't get any worse. She developed a totally nihilistic outlook on life and therefore decided to go with the flow rather than change anything. In the aftermath of the Battle of Bast Castle, Lindsay felt something was missing inside of her. Master Intelligence consoled her and told her to believe in her strength. Events occurring years later forced a change inside of her, and she finally said she felt something had been found. Still, Kellerman had already begun to lose faith in both humanity and herself after the Umbralord had opened her eyes to humanity's potential for evil.

Lindsay had a brief romantic relationship with Hardy, but she was dedicated to the S.M.S.B. and decided the S.M.S.B. was more important than her relationship with Hardy, though they would still nurse feelings for each other. She also appeared to have a close bond with Master Intelligence, because she mentioned that he had been like a father to her. Like her relationship with Hardy, however, she eventually learned to let go of any intimate attachment to her master, which she later taught Red X to do the same. (Ironically, Master Intelligence would later realize he was homosexual.) She also had a close friendship with Telekinibabe.

Because several of her ancestors were from the country, Lindsay had a great respect for Chinese culture and wore her hair in a Chinese-style braid as an infant.

Food[]

It is unknown what she ate before the Battle of Tsala, but as an S.M.S.B. member, she concurred with Baby Intelligence about the necessity of eating healthy, showing incredible restraint. For breakfast, she usually ate eggs and toast, though on special occasions she and her friends ate Cream of Rice or homemade breakfast burritos. Like her Master, she would usually resort to fruit if she still felt hungry after eating. Thanks to Baby Intelligence, it was extremely rare that she ever ate out. She was more than used to going without a meal, sometimes not eating for days because there was no food to consume or she was on the run (like during the American Purge, there was no food within their mobile home).

"It's been going on for months. Every time you interacted with the S.M.S.B. or Jena or the kids, I saw it in a vision. I felt really intrusive, but I couldn't... I couldn't help it. On the other hand, I never saw any interactions you had with Ted or Stanley. Stanley's a bag of scum, but Ted strikes me as being a good man. It's very, very peculiar."
―Lindsay Kellerman[src]
  • Teleportation Manipulation: Lindsay Kellerman can manipulate the teleportation of herself or other beings — making either appear in a different place instead of her target and even prevent them from teleporting, all without a teleportation belt. It is also unclear if her mutation directly correlated to Remote Teleportation. As a baby, this was limited to Teleporting, albeit with no belt, showing even as a very young girl, she could already manipulate space to an extraordinary degree. In adulthood, she could even combine various teleportation and transportation forces and effects to attacks with bladed weapons, either partially teleporting the part that has just been cut away, or teleporting the entire target all at once.
    • File:Space contractor.jpg
Teleportation Ball Projection: Lindsay Kellerman could project balls that were capable of teleporting their targets upon making contact with them, as shown during the Asian Revolution.
  • Insight: Lindsay Kellerman possessed an extremely rare superpower which in time grew on a par near that of her master. She was able to look into the minds of her enemies and anyone near them and see through these individuals' senses from time to time. She sometimes used this ability to monitor what Ironside and his friends were doing. Whereas Baby Intelligence felt himself shivering whenever one of his worst enemies was the cause of strong negative emotions, Kellerman never mentioned such issues. Kellerman also possessed a non-mutated insight into the minds of her enemies thanks to her deductive skills.
  • Animakinesis: As instructed by Master Intelligence’s ghost, Lindsay eventually learned the ability to become a spirit after death, like her former Master. She would later put this skill to good use.
    • Astral Projection: By the very end of the twenty-first century, Lindsay Kellerman had become capable of separating her astral form from her body while in meditation, gaining access to the Astral Plane.

Former powers[]

Voice of Sir Edgar Caravan: To be added.

Abilities[]

  • Peak-human condition: As one who kept in incredible physical shape, Lindsay's immense strength allowed her to fight the Umbralord, the powerful representation of chaos and darkness, despite the considerable divine power of her ex-boyfriend, managing to grab him from the waist and throw him against the roof of a warehouse. However, she was still easily dominated by the much stronger Umbralord. Her healthy figure is also durable and can withstand blows from superhuman opponents such as the Umbralord, despite the considerably greater strength of the demon.
  • Master combatant: Lindsay was a skilled hand-to-hand combatant. Trained at the MBH and having undergone extensive sparring matches with Baby Intelligence, she developed a considerable level of skill in unarmed combat. When she was deprived of her sword, she usually turned to this ability.
    • Swordplay: Lindsay Kellerman was one of the greatest sword duelists of her time. In addition, Lindsay also studied the martial arts to a degree, and was very fond of chaining hand-to-hand combat strikes into her sword sequences. She used her sword to fend off powerful foes which included even the fearsome representation of chaos and darkness the Umbralord himself (albeit only with considerable effort, given his superior combat experience, and her need to use a non-violent mindset). Lindsay was also capable of using her sword to ground lightning.
      • Grund (Stil I): During her training, Lindsay chose to specialize in Grund, her relatively advanced skills reinforced by her youth and stamina, which helped compensate for her relative inexperience. Through much practice, Lindsay developed an extraordinary amount of proficiency in Stil I. Her tight defense and energy-efficient moves stood her in good stead against masterful gunslingers duelists. However, Lindsay’s Grund proved unable to effectively counter Burnbottom’s skills during their first confrontation. On that occasion, Burnbottom’s elegant combination of Lavieren and Brosartt worked away at Lindsay’s defense, while Burnbottom’s style confused the baby, using a quick twirl to bring her down. Over the course of the Second NoHead War, Lindsay continued to develop her technique. Several hours of sparring and training considerably advanced her skills as a duelist as well. Even unarmed, Lindsay was a formidable opponent, evading enemy attacks and working her way inside their defense to physically assault them. In her second duel with Burnbottom, Kellerman caught him off-guard with her advanced combo of stils. Unable to overcome Lindsay through bladework, Burnbottom had to rely on his powers to continue the fight. By the time she was six, Lindsay’s study into Grund had resulted in absolute mastery of the style. Her skill was such that she was considered by some not only to be a master of Grund, but to be the master of it.
      • Chimiki (Stil III): She also seemed to have been well versed in Chimiki, especially evident during her duel with Burnbottom in 2041. By the time of this rematch, however, Lindsay had gone for nine years without a live duel, and her skills had atrophied somewhat. Despite this, she remained formidable, and was able to hold her own against Burnbottom for a short time. Due to her lack of practice and the physical force of Burnbottom’s attacks, Kellerman quickly tired. When Burnbottom knocked her down, she chose to escape rather than continue the fight.
      • Mimmsan (Stil VI): She also had some skill in Miinan.
      • Brosartt (Stil VIII): Lindsay also displayed an early interest in studying Stil VIII, but Baby Intelligence refused to let her study it.
      • Stil Combination: While she relied on the acrobatics to cut off her opponents, and to facilitate her strong penchant for physical attacks, Lindsay eschewed the slower and more impractical elements of Grund, favoring more efficient moves, which resulted in a combo of Miinan and Grund.
  • Master acrobat: Lindsay could perform extensive acrobatics, especially as a baby, which allowed her to leap huge distances and cover much more ground in a much shorter amount of time.
  • Master infiltrator: Apart from these impressive applications of her powers, Lindsay was skilled in stealth and infiltration. She was also known to use her beauty and stealth powers to tame wild animals, though she confessed she was not at all skilled at seducing people into giving information.
  • Genius intellect: She has an exceptional intellect. However, due to mental illness, Kellerman often misspells words and shows many signs of being very impulsive.
    • Master tactician: Lindsay proved herself to be a great military strategist and a highly studious woman, which resulted in her attaining a high rank during the Second NoHead War. She was also a natural leader, leading her own fraction of troops to many victories. Her tactical skills allowed the Police Grand Army to minimize casualties during many of their battles, so long as she was there. Her strategic ability was also shown in her sword combat. Applying the principles of Chimiki and Grund, she often took advantage of her superior defensive capabilities and position on the battlefield to win her battles with as little energy as possible. She used this to hold her own against Burnbottom.
  • Expert pilot: Lindsay was an excellent pilot, and known as one of the greatest in the S.M.S.B., expressing great interest in the early skyfighter program. During the war, she led many attacks from the cockpit of her skyfighter. She could repair all kinds of craft and machines as well.
  • Multilingualist: In her later years, Lindsay learned to understand many other languages.
  • Indomitable willpower: Kellerman, despite her understandable annoying childishness, wielded tremendous willpower and incorruptible morals. She was admired by Baby Intelligence himself for her uncanny willingness to do what is right no matter the cost and proved herself to be one of the very few capable of resisting the full power of the Dark Lord himself. When seemingly beaten by the Umbralord (who was only growing more powerful from her violence, rage, and hatred) and overcome by the weight of his words and their former relationship, Kellerman recalled his great love for and undying belief in her, and was thereby able to muster enough willpower and love to overcome her violent emotions and survive their final encounter long enough for her friends to intervene and defeat the powerful demon together. Kellerman also proved to be fully capable of standing up to others when needed, even if they were of high authority.

Weaknesses[]

Mental instability: Lindsay's great weakness is that her neurodivergence occasionally impairs her higher thinking, though she usually makes up for this with her impressive set of skills.

Possessions[]

Relationships[]

Throughout her life, Lindsay Kellerman has had many relationships with other people. Lindsay was a warm, caring person who built a friendly relationship with a large number of people, good and bad, and has also made several enemies.

Romances[]

Telekinibabe[]

Telekinibabe

Telekinibabe, Lindsay's dearest friend.

Lindsay Kellerman had met Telekinibabe in his and Albert’s home near the MBH. When he first met her, he initially told her she was beautiful, which she was shocked and slightly uncomfortable by. After joining the S.M.S.B., Lindsay spent much time with her loyal and confident friend, and separated thought of her continually. Telekinibabe was fascinated by her, especially after learning she was the Chosen One. He was also surprised upon realizing how much she had changed as a teenager, and told her he had noticed she was different, but for the better. Eventually, his fascination would blossom into attachment. After a hair-raising series of adventures together, Lindsay began to reciprocate this affection, as the American Purge began. Lindsay was deeply in love and vowed to protect Telekinibabe at any necessary cost, and Telekinibabe felt exactly the same way. During the Mutant Ball, which took place in 2046, Telekinibabe asked Lindsay out, although Red X thought he would ask her.

Friends[]

Baby Intelligence[]

As a baby, Lindsay idolized Baby Intelligence, especially after he attempted to protect her from Mr. Stupid NoHead.

In later years, Lindsay appeared to have a close bond with Master Intelligence, because she mentioned that he had been like a father to her. However, she eventually learned to let go of any emotional attachment to her master, which she later taught Red X to do the same. After Master Intelligence's death, Lindsay was so devastated to the point that she was inconsolable, despite the best efforts of Sebiscuits and even her lover Telekinibabe.

Sebiscuits Cardarphen[]

Lindsay Kellerman had a brief romantic relationship with Sebiscuits Cardarphen. However, she was dedicated to the S.M.S.B. and ultimately decided the S.M.S.B. was more important than her relationship with Sebiscuits, though they would still nurse feelings for each other. Sebiscuits also comforted Lindsay during Master Intelligence's funeral.

Red X[]

Red X was Lindsay Kellerman's best friend for eleven long years. Ever since Red X joined the S.M.S.B., the two were close friends. Lindsay, along with Telekinibabe, first met Red X when she arrived in a van at the MBH’s docking bay. The two almost immediately bonded over the first few weeks at the MBH (for Red X; Kellerman had been training for years). After sharing several classes and having bunkers in a beeline from each other, the two grew even closer, and eventually gained another best friend in Telekinibabe. As Lindsay was highly intellectual, she was often called upon to help solve problems, from worksheet problems to a rising darkness. Red X stuck with Lindsay in many situations, something the latter also did her part in. Lindsay would teach Red X several things, including bullet deflection and how to let go of her emotional connections.

Lindsay and Red X had a major falling out in 2033 when they both suspected one had betrayed the other. However, Lindsay soon realized how badly she had misjudged the situation and apologized. Red X immediately forgave her and apologized in turn, though Lindsay admitted their temporary enmity was mostly her fault. The hardships Red X and Lindsay faced together served to reinforce their bond, and they remained friends for life. Red X's fierce loyalty and sense of humor often helped Lindsay relax and have fun even in the darkest times. Overall, the two were like sisters, something Red X firmly believed was true.

Carol Wilcox[]

Lindsay was very close with Carol Wilcox, a Greek executive. Lindsay trusted Carol enough that she told her things before she told them to her Master, including her urgent desire to learn to read at a young age. She began learning this skill from Carol. When she passed on, she left her a small stock of chapter books in her will.

Enemies[]

Mr. Stupid NoHead[]

For a time, Mr. Stupid NoHead was Lindsay’s most dangerous enemy. The two mutants had been enemies ever since a prophecy foretelling of a child “with the power to destroy the NoHeads” was made and relayed in part to NoHead, who decided to act, to prevent it from coming to fruition. Two infants fit the description of “The Chosen One”, and NoHead had already gone for Baby Intelligence.

To circumvent the prophecy, Mr. Stupid NoHead went to the Kellerman house to murder baby Lindsay. When Bridgett refused to move aside and allow NoHead access to his true target, she was killed off, however, Lindsay Disapparated from NoHead’s lightning aimed at her, causing the strike to rebound. NoHead angrily retreated as a result, effectively marking Lindsay as his equal. As it happened, they met again in 2020, it took both Lindsay and Baby Intelligence to destroy him. This ended their rivalry and furfilled the prophecy.

Hell Burnbottom[]

Lindsay Kellerman and Burnbottom have been enemies since the Battle of Yellowstone. When Burnbottom seemingly killed Baby Intelligence, Lindsay fell on him with a relentless barrage, eventually defeating him by cutting him down and sending him plunging into the depths of a reactor shaft. As a ghost, Burnbottom became determined to get his revenge on Lindsay.

Lunch Money Bandit[]

The Lunch Money Bandit's first encounter with Lindsay Kellerman was one he had no knowledge of. He was left unaware of her existence, but she proved crucial to his arrest. Lindsay had been disgusted by his disregard for children and knew she had to interfere. Lindsay later killed Hell Burnbottom, leading the Lunch Money Bandit to show open hatred for her. After the Elite NoHeads escaped from Beta Prison, they plotted to murder Lindsay. The Lunch Money Bandit turned a plate into a transport in order to finalize the plan to resurrect Burnbottom and eliminate Lindsay once and for all. When Lindsay touched it, she was transported to the Lioness graveyard. However, Lindsay fought Burnbottom and escaped.

Nagatha[]

It is unknown how Lindsay actually felt about Nagatha. In 2031, Hell Burnbottom promised Nagatha that she could devour Lindsay after he had killed her. However, she was denied this when Lindsay escaped from the graveyard shortly after the promise was made.

Others[]

Robbie Evans[]

Lindsay initially got a good impression of Robbie Evans in 2033, when he visited Master Intelligence. He treated her like a friend, but refused to answer her questions about the government. However, by 2041, the relationship between Robbie and Lindsay was not so rosy. Lindsay had witnessed Hell Burnbottom's return to power, which she told both Master Intelligence and Evans. The latter stoutly refused to believe Lindsay, and branded Master Intelligence and Lindsay as liars/nutters in a smear campaign. In the summer of 2032, Lindsay got in a row with Force Baby and punched him, for which Lindsay was unreasonably threatened with banishment from the MBH and tried by the entire Mutamon. However, the events that transpired, caused by Sebiscuits' defense and Amelia Fiennes' impartiality, forced Robbie Evans to acknowledge that Master Intelligence and Lindsay Kellerman had been telling the truth all along. As the community had lost all confidence in him, he was forced to resign as President.

Behind the Scenes[]

  • The character of Lindsay Kellerman was actually created by Ammon Thomas in the earliest days of production for the series, making her the second character to be invented for the series. Initially, they planned on making Lindsay a little boy, but after creating several more characters, including Annabeth Black and Carol Wilcox, D. Isaac Thomas disagreed, perceiving a lack of female characters in the series.
  • Melissa Vaine has recently labelled her "a great role model for girls" who "has love interests, but doesn't passively mope over guys".

Author's comments[]

"From a feminist perspective, I'm very proud of her. She doesn't take people's crap and refuses to sacrifice parts of herself for anything, even as she grows into womanhood. She really is a heroine, but isn't sexy nor entirely sexless, but a 'real girl.' "

Trivia[]

  • The name Lindsay comes from the word “Lindesege,” which means “Lincoln.” Like Abraham Lincoln, Lindsay is a good leader and started out poor. “Kellerman” means “cellar,” indicating how Lindsay felt underground before she was taken up as an superhero.
