The United States of America (commonly called the United States, U.S., USA, America, and the States) is a federal constitutional republic comprising fifty states and a federal district. The country is situated mostly in central North America, where its 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C., the capital district, lie between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, bordered by Canada to the north and Mexico to the south. The state of Alaska is in the northwest of the continent, with Canada to the east and Russia to the west across the Bering Strait. The state of Hawaii is an archipelago located in the mid-Pacific. The country also possesses several territories in the Pacific and the Caribbean.
Many famous individuals like Mr. Stupid NoHead, Baby Intelligence, and Rocken Role hail from here. The International Alliance also maintained their presence in the United States through the Royal Palace of the Magistrate, which Zira Miranda Grover owned from the beginning of the War on Terror until her emancipation in the late 2020s. The country would later answer in equal measure to the Northern Administration.
Description[]
Overview[]
The United States is located in North America. It is home to a variety of species, though Humans make up the majority. Though not all well known citizens were always born in the United States, many considered the country their home. Many young American mutants attend Superhero School, the most well-known mutant school in the world.
Neighborhoods[]
The United States intersects into numerous districts forming a community within a town or city. A small district at the edge of New York City was the Acquisition District. In 2029, the MBH was built there, and remained there for quite some time.[1] The Town Dumps were also there before that, as Kenzie Walters claimed they had been a horrible place to throw trash bags willy-nilly.[2]
Broadway is an important thoroughfare in New York and one of its oldest vertical runways, that runs through the boroughs of Manhattan and The Bronx, exiting north from the city, where it runs an additional eighteen miles in lower Westchester County. From south to north, Broadway at one point or another runs over or under various New York City Subway lines. The city is lined with many famous and otherwise noted and historic buildings. The Bronx is the northernmost of the five boroughs of New York City, believed to be the birthplace of the hip hop music genre and the home of several nationally recognized gangs.[3] The most populous of the five boroughs of New York City is Brooklyn, home to the iconic Coney Island.[4]
Government and politics[]
Political life and government in the United States of America centered around the self-described Federal Government of the United States; by 2070, the President of the United States was Samuel. As home to one of the most prominent political bodies in the Solar System, the United States thrived on politics and the business of government. However, this also opened up huge opportunities for greed and corruption.
Entertainment and sports[]
The United States of America had many attractions to offer its visitors and inhabitants. Crodela is played exclusively, it is an extremely popular sport. The U.S. has its own Crodela League: the United States League. The U.S.A. has its own National Skyfighter Team: the American National Skyfighter team. In the 2040 S.M.S.B. Skyfighter Tournament, the American team beat Liechtenstein's team and shot red, blue and white sparks into the air in jubilation.

Nebraska[8] | Nebraska is a state that lies in both the Great Plains and the Midwestern United States. Steven Thompson, his immediate family, Bailey Bastian, Tony, Ashley, and Preston were all known former residents there.[8] During the Mission to Kansas, the trio deliberately allowed themselves to be captured by the NoHeads when they were disguised as police mercenaries. However, they encountered Annabeth Black before they could leave Nebraska. In a duel instigated by Bale Caberra, Annabeth revealed her overwhelming strength for the first time, as she brought Caberra to her knees before decapitating her. Fortunately for Noace and Selby, Black was distracted, and they managed to escape NoHead custody due to Noace’s telekinetically clipping the head off of an unsuspecting war robot. With assistance and a fair amount of deception by Kash Gamulan, the police managed to escape Nebraska aboard a CloakShape fighter.[4] |
Nevada | Nevada is a state in the western, mountain west, and southwestern regions of the United States of America. It is home to Goodsprings Cemetery. The Great Basin Desert, located between Nevada and Utah, is part of the largest area of contiguous endorheic watersheds in North America. Ed Meyer and his future wife, Sandra, both hailed from Nevada.[19] In the late 2010s, Prince Zaron established a castle in Nevada, to serve as the headquarters of Dark Nova.[8] In 2029, X1 and a group of Police Grand Army cadets were ambushed by a large robotic reconnaissance patrol in the Nevada part of the Great Basin Desert, leading to a violent battle.[20] In 2030, the NoHeads seized control over several areas of the United States of America, including Nevada, where they established Camp Two to imprison members of the Police Grand Army. Sheriff Bladepoint personally came forth and participated in liberating the state and virtually driving the NoHead presence out of Nevada.[2] |
New Hampshire[1] | New Hampshire is a state in the New England region of the northeastern United States of America. The state was named after the southern English county of Hampshire. It is bordered by Massachusetts to the south, Vermont to the west, Maine and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the Canadian province of Quebec to the north. It is home to the Kellerman House.[15][1] |

Pennsylvania | Pennsylvania is a state located on the northeastern region of the United States. In 2029, a NoHead named Annabeth Black concocted a plot to arrange the poisoning of Philadelphia's water supply. Barbara Olive was sent to uncover the plot, and she was later joined by Alice Shinner. After freeing Olive and her new apprentice Damon, Alice was able to discover that Black was responsible. After Alice and Barbara were killed by NoHead forces, official records compiled by insurgent Macknezie stated that Alice and Barbara were both executed because they were plotting to poison Philadelphia's water supply, although it was really the NoHeads.[15][21] |

Trivia[]
- Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Oregon are the only states that have not appeared intensively in the DLU.
- Since Hawaii is not part of the continental United States, it is unknown if young mutants living in the state attend Superhero School or a different school. It is also possible that Hawaii is one of those countries that choose to home-school their children.
